Next time you are watching TV with your honey or a friend, try this fun way to workout during the commercial break - I call it the push-up challenge. It takes at least 2 people since you switch off, but there is no reason you couldn't include more people in the challenge.
Here's how to do it:
You simply hold the plank position while your buddy does three push-ups.

Boxing, for the ladies, is definitely "hip" right now. If you and your man want to push the envelope and your comfort zone, take a look at coed/couples boxing as a way to get physical together. You can master your left hook, your jab and your trust issues all in the ring.

Hey Fit,
I had post-work appetizers and drinks with a girlfriend last night, and as we departed she said she was heading to the gym. Granted, we each had two light beers over maybe an hour and 20 minutes, but it surprised me that she'd go work out after a couple drinks. She said she doesn't do it all the time, but if she's not feeling too tipsy it actually helps her kind of zone out and get into her workout, and by the time she's finished any possible buzz is gone.

Lifting weights while balancing on one leg can make an easy lifting move much more challenging. Balancing will also work your abs and lower back, and will also strengthen the quads of your lifted leg. If this move is too hard to do with your leg straight, just bend your lifted leg instead just as in the Balancing Hammer Curls exercise.
