Lately we've been seeing Reese Witherspoon throwing the softball around, both preparing for a movie and playing with her kids. Even if you don't have kids of your own, coaching a youth team can be a great way to get in shape and feel good at the same time.
Even though you're not actually on the team, you'll run around plenty when trying to keep a team of teens or kids in check.

It seems like they are putting everything in a box these days. From water to Justin Timberlake's genitalia, you name it, they are boxing it up.

I have been swimming for pleasure and exercise since I was a kid, but working with my Equinox swim coach Hannah, I am learning the devil is in the details. And those details extend all the way down to your fingertips. Swimming is really technical: along with breaking down my freestyle stroke, from my breathing to my head placement, I have been working on my hands.

There's a new fitness game in town and it's ready to work you out and make you sweat. Your Shape ($69), a new Wii game by Ubisoft, makes Jenny McCarthy your workout coach and training buddy so you don't have to sweat it out alone.
The game comes with a camera that you perch on your TV; it captures your image and plays it on your TV so you move with a reflection of yourself, like looking in a mirror.

Did you make a new year's resolution to workout more? Well, if you are the type of exerciser who likes to be part of something larger (working out in a group), have some outside structure (like a coach and practice schedule) and specific end goals (competing in races) - you should definitely check out the US Masters Swimming program.
Founded in 1970, USMS is "dedicated to the premise that the lives of participants will be enhanced through aquatic physical conditioning."

When I came across the article entitled, "How to Live to Be 100," from MarthaStewart.com I was intrigued. You just can't pass up reading an article like that.
While most of the secrets were in fact not secrets at all (eating right, exercising, drinking alcohol in moderation, etc.), there was one tip that really stood out for me.

My Dad taught me how to serve a tennis ball, throw a football with a spiral spin, and sink a putt (on a good day). He coached me in soccer and taught me to play my best and win with humility and lose with honor. I have so many sports related memories with my father and I was wondering if you do too.
