Get Physical: A Hilarious Game of Badminton

I don't know what it is about playing badminton, but that game is just so funny to me. I love the dinky racquets, the flimsy net and of course the shuttlecock (I call it a birdy) - it seems to have a mind of its own!

The game is pretty simple. All you need is 1 net, 1 birdy, 2-4 rackets, and 2-4 players. After you set the net up, you try hitting the birdy over the net, and your opponent hits it back to you.

Badminton is actually an Olympic Sport, so there are specific rules that go along with the game. I think it's more fun to see how many times we can volley back and forth before the birdy touches the ground.

This game is great for all ages since it's easy and fun, there isn't much equipment, and you don't have to worry about seriously getting injured. It does require some hand-eye coordination skills, moderate leaping, acute agility, and lightning speed to run and hit the birdy over the net. I'll tell you though - I end up working my core muscles more than anything from falling to the ground and laughing so hard, but that's just me.

Fit's Tips: You can purchase a badminton set (Amazon, $24.95) that comes with a carrying case so you can bring it along the next time you go to the beach, park, or a BBQ. That way you can fit in a little exercise in between all the eating and drinking.

Ryan Phillippe and Busy Philipps Spend a Crafty Day With Their Little Ones

Busy Philipps and Ryan Phillippe were among the famous parents who brought their little ones along to Kidstock yesterday at LA's Greystone Mansion. The event was held to benefit the One Voice Scholars program, and there was plenty to keep the celebrity babies busy. Ryan's son, Deacon, made his own soda thanks to SodaStream, while Busy and her daughter, Birdie, got to work at the arts and crafts table. Jason Bateman also brought along 4-year-old Francesca, while Modern Family's Julie Bowen and Soleil Moon Frye also brought their kids. Ryan wrapped up the weekend with Deacon while his mom, Reese Witherspoon, was off at the MTV Movie Awards. Reese took home the ceremony's Generation Award with an empowering speech that was aimed squarely at aspiring actresses who feel the need to share sex tapes or naked photos. She kept the celebrations coming afterward as well, joining pals Chelsea Handler and Jennifer Aniston for the MTV Movie Awards afterparty at Soho House.

Busy Philipps was joined by Marc and Birdie Silverstein yesterday for a stroll on Abbot-Kinney Boulevard, making a pit stop at Lemonade for a drink. There has been plenty of time for family bonding now that Busy's on hiatus from Cougar Town. She and her daughter have been hanging out all the time, including a recent adorable run to Whole Foods. Things may get a little hectic for Busy in the Fall. Her ABC series will be back on in prime time, while her big-screen project with Sarah Jessica Parker, I Don't Know How She Does It, is out in September.

Nicole Richie played host to a number of celebrity parents and their kids at a Winter Wonderland event with Baby2Baby and Huggies in LA on Saturday. Busy Philipps Tells Us How to Get Her Tinkerbell Costume

We love when celebrities get into the Halloween spirit, and Cougar Town's Busy Philipps made the perfect Tinkerbell alongside her adorable daughter Birdie last year. Not only does she totally look the part, but as it turns out, she made the costume herself!

Busy told us, "It was a vintage dress that I had altered!! And I sewed some puffballs to sparkly flats! Instant Tinkerbell!"

Sounds easy enough to us, and you can definitely pick up some sparkly green fabric if you don't already have the perfect dress lying around. All that's left is Tink's perfect blond bun, and you're good to go!

Magnetic Nail Polish: The Next Big Thing?

If you've tired of crackle polish and are looking for the next big special effect, search no longer, because magnetic nail polish is coming to a website near you. If you haven't seen magnetic polish yet, it's basically regular polish with tiny magnetized particles in it. When you put it anywhere near a magnet, the charged bits align themselves with the magnet's poles, creating cool patterns in the polish.

I tried Layla Magneffect in Brown Sugar ($16), which ends up looking like tiger's eye. It's a cool concept (although this isn't magnetic nail polish's first time around the block), and you can expect to see the collection popping up everywhere from Drugstore.com to Zappos soon. What's more, well-manicured little birdies have told us that some of the big nail polish companies are working on versions for next year.
