I have never tired of yellow. Actually, it was really big for a while and then it sort of went by the wayside. Leave it to Liv to bring it back in a cool, casual way.

The cast of Gossip Girl and Jennifer Hudson have teamed up with Deeply Madly Living to benefit the V-Day Foundation (an antifemale violence organization) and the Children’s Defense Fund, according a 5W PR rep. The starlets have each personally autographed a base of the Deeply Madly Living Celebrity Lamp ($1,600), a lamp with a shade made of 40 pairs of mirrored, incognito aviator shades resting on a shiny, linear stand, creating a sparkling paparazzi effect when turned on. Auction of two of these signed fixtures kicked off yesterday on eBay, with bidding starting at $800 and proceeds going to the charities.

Hmmm, these Dolce & Gabbana Plastic Aviator Sunglasses, $275, look a lot like safety glasses, and that's not a good thing. I would consider buying them for my dentist for when he's drilling my teeth (cringe). It may come in handy for safety but never for fashion. 
Sunglass trends come and go but good 'ol aviators are forever. Always cool, always collected, aviators made a major comeback after the film Top Gun - I mean, ok, Tom Cruise made them look good, but I think Val Kilmer made them look really good. Ice Man aside, I know you've got a pair sitting in the back of the drawer and it's time for them to take flight again. 
This week I caught a rerun of the Friends episode where Rachel tries to teach Joey how to sail. It was quite funny when Rachel channels her father's strict sailing teacher ways and Joey just can't handle it; he simply calls Rachel "mean." Mean she may have been but her little sailing outfit was all cute and Tommy Hilfigered out.
