If you're a fan of Smartwater because it offers your body the lost electrolytes it needs after a long workout, the next time you pick up a bottle, you may notice something different.
The company has unveiled a colorful, limited-edition bottle. The design was inspired by a mural completed by Jennifer Aniston and a group of 20 kids from the Action For Healthy Kids program in LA this Fall.

Though most of us aren't lucky enough to attend the Sundance Film Festival, we've probably all been to events that hand out hundreds and hundreds of plastic water bottles. Last year, Sundance alone gave out 50,000 single-serve bottles, most of which just end up in landfills.
So for the 2009 festival, which kicks off this Thursday, Sundance is partnering with an organization called FilterForGood, which is devoted to reducing bottled-water waste.

While I'm a fan of reusable bottles made by Sigg, Klean Kanteen, and Nalgene, they all requite two hands to open them, which can be annoying at times. If you can relate, then check out the Intak BPA Free Hydration Bottle with Meter ($11) made by Thermos.

When news about Nalgene bottles causing cancer broke, I ditched my old plastic bottle and bought a metal one. They're a lot heavier, though, and not the most ideal to take on hikes and walks. I just bought new BPA-free plastic water bottles for my hubby and me.

Going camping, hiking, or for a long bike ride? You're going to need a fair bit of water, but dealing with a hard, bulky water bottle can be a real drag. No problem.

Staying hydrated on the go is certainly important, and the wide variety of products out there to help you sip water on run attest to that. If the water bottle as a backpack variation or water bottle amo belt don't do it for you, you may be interested in the water bottle as a bracelet. The Hydrosport ($18.45) is similar to the QuickDraw Water Bottle, the water bottle with hand straps, but Hydrosport allows you to be completely hands-free since they wrap around your wrists.

I am on my fifth reusable water bottle. From leaving them at the gym and on the bus, I've managed to work my way through water bottles. I can't help but think I'm being counter productive here and they're not cheap either, Sigg and Klean Kanteen both start at around $20 a bottle.

All this talk about how polycarbonate water bottles are bad for our health has definitely made me a little weary about sipping from my old Nalgene. What about you? I'm wondering .
