 <title>What Not to Do in Warrior 1</title>

The pose tones the legs and tush, opens tight hip flexors, and strengthens the shoulders. The next time you step onto your mat, make sure you&#039;re avoiding these Warrior 1 mistakes that could lead to pain or injury.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Short Stance&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;Why it&#039;s bad:&lt;/b&gt; Doing Warrior 1 with a short stance places the knee past the front ankle, which puts excessive pressure on the front knee and interferes with the ability to fully reap the thigh-strengthening benefits of this pose.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;What to do:&lt;/b&gt; When coming into Warrior 1 from Down Dog, step your foot forward and place in between the hands. If tight hamstrings make this too difficult, step the foot as close as possible, raise the torso up, then adjust your stance from there. You&#039;ll know there&#039;s enough space between your feet when your front thigh is parallel with the floor and your front knee is directly above your ankle. &lt;/p&gt;

You want your right foot to be slightly to the right of the center of your mat (not directly in front of your left heel). With this positioning, your hips can be parallel with the front of your mat. You can place your hands on your hips, and gently direct your right hip back and your left hip forward. This is called squaring your hips.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Once your hips are square, lift your arms up, and press your palms together. Draw your shoulder blades down towards your hips and gaze up toward your hands.&lt;/li&gt;

 <title>5 Stretches: After a Run  </title>

Your muscles will respond and begin to lengthen and stretching will get easier.  Who knows you may actually start to enjoy stretching!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;li&gt;&lt;b&gt;Drinking water:&lt;/b&gt; Practicing yoga is about building your energy or prana, otherwise known as your fire. Some by-the-book instructors believe gulping water puts out the fire you&#039;re working so hard to create and may say something if you reach for your Klean Kanteen. It&#039;s important to hydrate before coming to class, but while you&#039;re practicing, you can&#039;t always prevent a dry throat or feelings of being overheated. Only you know if you need to drink some water, so if your teacher says something, politely smile, take your sips, and get back to your practice.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;b&gt;Doing another variation:&lt;/b&gt; Yoga instructors take great pride in designing their classes, so when a student strays from a teacher&#039;s sequence by doing a different pose, the teacher might not be pleased. Due to injuries and different ability levels, it&#039;s imperative to listen to your own body and do the practice that&#039;s right for you. &lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Ashley on her fans seeing her in other roles&lt;/b&gt;: &quot;I think &lt;b&gt;LOL&lt;/b&gt; is really great,  it&#039;s a completely different character than Alice. She&#039;s kind of a bad girl a little bit but it&#039;s a high school film so it&#039;s still relatable. It was a fun one to do, I think they&#039;ll like it a lot. &lt;b&gt;Butter&lt;/b&gt; is a little bit older, it&#039;s a comedy but it&#039;s a little dark. It&#039;s about butter carving in Iowa which is actually a big thing I didn&#039;t even know existed and the cast is just incredible.&quot;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Ashley on working with &lt;span class=&quot;nobrand&quot;&gt;Kellan Lutz&lt;/span&gt; in The Warrior&#039;s Heart&lt;/b&gt;: &quot;That was really fun. Kellan is one of my best friends so I&#039;m always game to be able to be on set with him. &lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Charlie on his role in Like Crazy&lt;/b&gt;: &quot;I literally turned up for three days and shot my stuff. It was strange because I had to play this guy who had a girlfriend for six months by that time and when you have an improv script everything has to come from you. So I made the decision going in that I was going to try and fall in love with Felicity Jones and it worked so well that after three days of shooting I flew to Phoenix and in the middle of the plane journey I had this feeling like, oh no, I really fell in love with Felicity on set and I had to fall out of love with her.&quot;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Ashley on working with Harry Potter&#039;s Tom Felton in The Apparition&lt;/b&gt;: &quot;There aren&#039;t a lot of people who have been a part of something like this and who are going through the same things and so he was another person that I could really relate to and talk to about the whole thing. It&#039;s always so nice to see people go through things and be a part of this massive phenomenon and still remain just so sweet and so down to earth. He&#039;s such a phenomenal actor and person, it was a pleasure working with him.&quot;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Charlie on auditioning for The Vampire Diaries&lt;/b&gt;: &quot;I almost got cast as Stefan, very shortly after I got the &lt;b&gt;Twilight&lt;/b&gt; role. Thank God I didn&#039;t, because to be honest I would never, ever want to do a long TV stint like that. It&#039;s like jail time for me since I&#039;m not a nine-to-five guy and to me that&#039;s the closest thing to a nine-to-five.&quot;&lt;/p&gt;
