Did you see the cool moves of Pilobolus last night on the Academy Awards? They're a modern dance company that has been making sculptural and shape oriented dances for years. Well if you didn't catch the show last night, here's a video of their Oscar performances.

One way I beat boredom while doing cardio inside is to watch movies. I'll start one and watch about 30 minutes or more, and then the next time I work out, I'm excited to continue where I left off in the flick. I'm lucky to have a machine at home I can walk or run on, but if you don't, check out Cardio Theater.

Popcorn is delicious, satisfying, crunchy, and fun to eat. It's nature's snack food.
There are so many different ways to make and flavor popcorn, but unfortunately, some of those tasty methods turn this healthy snack into one loaded with sugar and sodium.

Luna, maker of the sports bar for women's nutritional needs and super stylin' biking gear, also dabbles in the arts. Every October to coordinate with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, for the past nine years Luna has put on Lunafest, a festival of short films, by, for, and about women; the proceeds go to the Breast Cancer Fund.
Last night I was lucky enough to attend the premiere here in San Francisco.

Corn, it is an ingredient in just about everything. The cob is manufactured into fillers, oils and sweeteners. Many have theorized that the rise in obesity is due to the increased use of high fructose corn syrup as a sweetener.

I gaze out past the middle finger of my left hand into the Hollywood Hills as my right quad quivers holding Warrior 2. This is when Bob Harper, trainer from The Biggest Loser, says, "You might be feeling a bit of heat in your thigh right about now." He's teaching a yoga class to a few bloggers and ladies of the press, and we all laugh as our legs burn.

If you're training for your first triathlon, I hope you're having fun mixing up your cardio while training. It's fun to bike one day and swim hard the next. Unfortunately when actually at the race, you have to do all the events back-to-back, and they all require different gear.

With the amount of food recalls seeming to grown annually, it is easy to feel that our food system in the US is broken, and after watching the 94 minute documentary Food, Inc., you learn that it truly is.
From the opening shots of the supermarket, we begin to learn how corn and the fast food industry have changed the way Americans both grow and eat food. While the movie repeats many of the facts from Michael Pollan's informative book, In Defense of Food, the facts are just as interesting the second time around.

What's Your Movie Theater Diet Killer?
Popcorn - Extra butter, extra calories!
M&M's - At the rate I am eating them, the only place they melt is in my tummy.
