It's a big movie weekend, for sure. With New Moon finally out, I've already committed myself to spend an afternoon at the theater — the only complication is that I'm not so fond of the movie-theater fare. It's an admittedly challenging place to stick to healthy food choices, since there usually aren't any to begin with.

The railroads are an important part of American history, and Rails-to-Trails is committed to preserving that history. This group transforms old railroad lines into recreational paths for biking, running, rollerblading, and walking. They've created a list of trails great for viewing the pyrotechnics of Independence Day away from crowds.

I love great gear. If you're like me, then you're always switching up your activities, so that means that I need a watch that is going to be versatile enough for everything.
The revolutionary design of the TIMEX Ironman Triathlon O.V.A series (O.V.A stands for Optimal Viewing Angle) watch is angled just so you can see it while you're running without having to break your form.

I was lucky enough to hit the Reel Rock Film Tour — an annual showcase of the best new films about climbing — when it passed through San Francisco this weekend. Highlights of the festival include the world premiere of Progression and a preview of First Ascent, a new series for the Nat Geo Adventure Channel.
Climber or not, the Reel Rock festival is a must see for adrenaline junkies, outdoor enthusiasts, film lovers, and those seeking some kick ass motivation.

Just like Paula Radcliffe illustrated that motherhood and winning marathons are not mutually exclusive, and just like Dara Torres proved you can come back after childbirth and win Olympic medals, tennis pro Kim Clijsters shows that you can come back and be a champion as well.
Clijsters retired from tennis in 2007 and gave birth to daughter Jada Ellie at the end of February 2008 after a tennis career winning the US Open in 2005, and making it to the finals in the Australian Open and the French Open. By no means a shabby career.

There are three body views (front, back and side) that may be helpful if you are uncertain of a body area. Many areas are referred to by both descriptive and technical names. For example, the back of the knee is called the popliteal fossa.
