Who doesn't love spending time at the beach? Cameron is one starlet that takes advantage of all the beach has to offer. I love that she doesn't just lounge on the sand, but plays in the water practically non-stop.

So you've been hitting the gym a lot to get into that bikini and now that you've arrived, try and keep it that way with this beach body beach workout:
- Warm-Up: Tread water for 5 minutes.
- Cardio: Jog in the sand for at least 30 minutes. For an added challenge, run in ankle high water.
- Walking Lunges: Walking lunges are a great variation to regular lunges. Plus doing them in the sand adds a whole new variation.

If you're heading to the beach soon to beat the Summer heat, you might want to see how clean it is. Recently, we learned that playing in the sand can increase your risk of developing gastrointestinal ailments, and the water might not be too clean either.
The National Resource Defense Council just released its annual report on the cleanliness of our beaches, and unfortunately some did not pass muster.

Whether you're building sandcastles or just burrowing your feet, getting sandy is an essential part of going to the beach. But if la playa plays into your vacation plans, be warned: beach sand can contain bacteria known to cause stomach bugs.
Though sand often looks and feels clean, remember that germs are everywhere.

Summer is approaching and the warm weather often means vacations and more time on the beach. If you're lucky enough to live close to a beach, or if you're lucky enough to vacation close to one, take advantage of the opportunity to get in a little beach jogging. It's not as easy as it looks though, so take these tips from Health for a few simple ways to make your beach run more fun:
- Choose your shoes: You don’t need a specific type for beach running, but try to dedicate one pair of running shoes for beach runs so you don’t have to attempt the nearly impossible task of removing all the sand after your workout.
- Start on wet sand: Do your first beach run on the wet, firm sand near the water.

For me, the biggest surprise of the 2004 Summer Olympic Games was women's beach volleyball. I had never seen bikini clad women play a game so fiercely. I cheered from the edge of my seat.

Most diet cookbooks don't really appeal to me. The recipes seem to gimmicky, difficult to make or look as if they would produce tasteless food. The new South Beach Diet Taste of Summer Cookbook is definitely different.
