Ryan Gosling met up with Gary Oldman for lunch in LA this week. In the past, Ryan has cited Gary as one of his all time favorite actors so it must be nice to dine with an idol. Gosling's a commendable actor himself and has been spending more time than ever in LA recently enjoying life as an eligible bachelor.

He might not have met up with Rachel while she was in town this weekend but he seems to be happy with other company. He celebrated his 29th birthday earlier this week, but unfortunately it seems that his off-again girl Rachel was a little too late arriving into town to help him blow out the candles. It's actually not a completely surprising accessory to see with the quirky actor whose most recent movie had him falling in love with a life sized doll. Another out of the ordinary activity for Ryan this week — he teamed up with his sister to cook at Jacqui Getty's dinner party to welcome designer Andrew Gn including guests like Rachel Zoe and Kirsten Dunst.

Ryan Gosling went to Bardot nightclub in LA last night for another DJing gig. Earlier that evening Ryan joined Angelina Jolie and others at the Hollywood Film Festival Awards where he presented Dustin Hoffman with the Career Achievement Award. It must have been fun to be part of such a big event but it was probably just as rewarding to work on his new hobby before getting back to work on his next film.

The audience was surprised when Angelina strutted out fresh from her recent trip to Afghanistan to speak about Clint.

Unfortunately Rachel wasn't there to support him this time, but who can complain when even alone he looks so handsomely scruffy.
