A-listers were out in force last night for the lavish opening of the Atlantis Palm Resort and Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, with Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton and Mary-Kate Olson
slipping on their gladrags. Us Brits were represented by a suave Gerard Butler, glittering Agyness Deyn and graceful Lily Allen, who left the
balloons at home and accessorised with Rhys Ifans and a reported
£5 million of Chopard jewellery. Wowzers.

Many an A-lister made the trek to Dubai today to celebrate the grand opening of the Atlantis Palm Resort. Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson
traveled from London to join Sam's mother Ann Dexter-Jones, while Mischa Barton will show up anywhere there's a red carpet. The eclectic crew, which included Mary-Kate Olsen all draped in white, Gerard Butler, Charlize Theron, and Stuart Townsend, was treated to dinner and an elaborate performance from Kylie Minogue.

Daniel Craig has been busy premiering
Quantum of Solace in Europe, and last night he finally came to the US with his girlfriend Satsuki Mitchell for a screening in NYC. While the film's female stars skipped the event, Daniel recently said any of his former co-stars like Cate Blanchett, Gwyneth Paltrow or Nicole Kidman would
make great Bond girls for future installments. He wasn't lacking in female company last night, though — Becki Newton, Debra Messing and Molly Sims all took a stroll down the red carpet.

50 Cent joined his costars Al Pacino and Robert De Niro on the red carpet in Leicester Square yesterday for the UK premiere Righteous Kill. Both acting legends spoke about how they'd love to work together again, with Al
saying: "There’s no rivalry now but there was when we were younger" and Robert
adding "we've always had a great respect for each other".
Secret Diary of a Call Girl's Ashley Madekwe looked gorgeous and Leigh Francis gave his trademark thumbs up, but Mark Ronson struggled to smile for the cameras after those
reports of a break up.

Robert De Niro and Al Pacino are back together onscreen in Righteous Kill, which is coming out in the UK on September 26.
They play two NYPD detectives – who have been partners for thirty years – that begin investigating a spate of murders of suspected criminals in the city. It looks like quite a thriller, with Donnie Wahlberg, 50 Cent, Carla Gugino and John Leguizamo also star in the film.
What Just Happened? was a fairly big deal at this year's
Sundance mostly because of Robert De Niro who is at the center of this strange comedy. It's a Hollywood satire that some people will probably appreciate more than others, and
the reviews I've read of the film have said there may be too many "insider" jokes about "the industry" for most people, but that otherwise it's a great movie.
The story follows "two weeks in the life of a fading Hollywood producer (De Niro) who's having a rough time trying to get his new picture made."

It was a 90th birthday party to remember for Nelson Mandela, who went big for his star-studded celebration in London's Hyde Park yesterday. Will Smith managed to tear himself away from his non-stop
promotional tour of Hancock to catch up with his buddies Robert de Niro, Forest Whitaker and Denzel Washington, and of course to spend some time with Jada. There was no sign of Amy Winehouse, but Naomi Campbell was happy to provide the drama, showing up even though Nelson personally requested she be
removed from the guest list after her
recent legal issues.

Stars from both sides of the Atlantic joined Nelson Mandela in Hyde Park yesterday to celebrate his 90th birthday. Gordon Ramsay
prepared the banquet for the 500 guests, which included those due to
perform at tomorrow's concert, with Leona Lewis, Annie Lennox and the Sugababes all stunning in bright colours. Although Amy Winehouse wasn't there her spokesman has
said "it seems likely" she will perform on the night.

We know that
Elmo isn't the angel he pretends to be. He can be something of a psychopath, which makes perfect sense after you look at him in this audition for the Martin Scorcese mob movie Casino. His part?
