If you can't escape to la mar this Winter, escape via your wardrobe. Under the sea sequins are unexpected and mystical. There's something about a shimmer in a deep indigo, bright turquoise, or cool cerulean.

Thanks to the 18th Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards, we got a glimpse of five sleek red carpet looks. Penelope Cruz turned out in a sophisticated and demure Lanvin look. Rachel Weisz went for asymmetrical stripes in Narciso Rodriguez.

While one star of Australia was elsewhere in town at the women of the year awards, Hugh Jackman got dressed up to honor director Baz Luhrmann at the MoMA. The handsome actor was just one of the stars out looking fabulous alongside Jessica Biel in a simple LBD and Rachel Weisz in one with flattering pink accents. Maggie Gyllenhaal draped herself in fur — can you tell if it's faux or not? — while Peter kept the fuzziness on his face.

Rachel Weisz looked glowing and as beautiful as usual as she stepped out on to the London Film Festival red carpet for a screening of her new movie The Brothers Bloom, alongside her costar Robbie Coltrane. Mark Ruffalo and Adrien Brody star as the con men brothers of the title, swindling millionaires out of their fortunes with crazy scenarios. The two decide to take on one last job, showing a beautiful and eccentric heiress the time of her life across many countries of the world.
There hasn't been much buzz about The Brothers Bloom, though I can't figure out why. Not only does it have a fantastic cast (including the dreamy Mark Ruffalo), the plot looks pretty clever. At the movie's press conference, Rachel Weisz looked simple and classic.

Rachel Weisz has been at the Toronto International Film Festival this week, attending screenings for her fiance Darren Aronofsky's movie The Wrestler starring Mickey Rourke, and her own film The Brothers Bloom. Yesterday she was at the airport with her gorgeous family, departing the city with Darren and their son Henry. Rachel's certainly not short of love — not just from her family, but from British ladies too!
It was another day of red carpets at the Toronto Film Festival, and this time there were a few new stars to add to the mix. Rachel McAdams was a welcome — but sadly date-free — fresh face at the premiere of Che, as was Emmanuelle Chriqui in her cute LBD. Mark Ruffalo and Adrien Brody goofed around while Rachel Weisz looked gorgeous in her bandage dress as the trio kept on promoting The Brothers Bloom.

I've said it once and I'll say it again: There's nothing like a red hot dress. Sure to turn heads, the red dress is a purveyor of power, femininity, and sexuality. I tend to stow away my red dresses for the Winter months, but if it's hot outside, make the world swelter by throwing on a red frock.

Had you ever heard of this movie before right now? Me neither! But it looks weird and funny and stars an odd-but-promising assortment of people, like Mark Ruffalo, Adrien Brody, Rachel Weisz and Babel's Rinko Kikuchi.

Rachel Weisz looked absolutely stunning all dressed up with her fiancé Darren Aronofsky, hiding behind that black cloak and mask, and their son Henry Chance at a photo shoot in NYC on Thursday. Judging from that pumpkin bag hanging off Rachel's arm, it's a Halloween themes spread and rumor has it that the magazine scoring the shots is Vogue. The issue would line up with Rachel's new movie The Brothers Bloom, I can't wait to see the final product.
