Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day, but should you skip it if there is nothing but fast food joints on the horizon? Not so much. July 1st, 2007 marks the day that restaurants in New York City are required to begin posting calorie counts on menus in type that is at least as large as the price. Some restaurants, however, are not having it.
Word has it that Burger King, McDonald’s and Wendy’s are among the chains planning to defy New York City’s new rule (Taco Bell and KFC aren’t commenting on the matter), while waiting on a lawsuit in federal court they hope will get the new regulation thrown out.

Recently we heard that McDonald's and Prince Charles were at odds. The Prince thinks the restaurant should be banned, while McDonald's says the Prince obviously hasn't noticed all their efforts to add healthy fare to their menu. Perhaps during this little argument McD's forgot about their latest menu addition, which is anything but healthy...

Recent statements made by Prince Charles, heir to the British throne, on banning McDonald's has gotten the company who coined the term happy meal, well, unhappy. McDonald's claims that the future king must not have noticed all the efforts they are making toward building a healthier menu and supporting sustainable agriculture. (I can't say I've noticed the latter either, but still).

For most people, holidays equal traveling. It's inevitable that when you're on the road, you're going to get hungry.
When I was traveling over Christmas weekend, I wanted a snack and had heard about McDonald's fruit and walnut salad.

We're all feeling the effects of the recession right now, and many of us have had to buckle down on how much we spend. Since nutritious and wholesome food costs more, we may not be able to afford it, and are turning toward cheaper alternatives. People who were used to frequenting pricier sit-down restaurants are now opting for crappy fast food to save money.
