

So I'm roaming around the San Francisco American Idol auditions, having no problem getting people to sing for me, when who should I bump into but Justin Guarini! You may recall Justin lost to Kelly Clarkson in the first ever Idol finale, but that hasn't stopped him from trucking along in his career: He's currently covering all things Idol for TV Guide and doing a little singing as well (check out his MySpace page for a sample of his songs).
I asked the Idol forefather a couple of questions including how the addition of instruments has changed the show and which David he was rooting for last season.

I saw Kelly Clarkson at the Brighton Centre last night and she was a-maz-ing! Her voice is so incredible, really strong and clear and not one bum note throughout the entire performance. And it wasn't just Kelly's voice that was on form — she interacted with the audience and was very endearing, joking around and giving us lots of info about the songs.

I'm very excited this morning because I'm going to a Kelly Clarkson concert tonight. Woop! The prospect of seeing the original American Idol has got me thinking about all the previous winners.

Some of Hollywood's cell phone loving celebs came out last night to celebrate the 9th anniversary of Motorola in LA. Kelly Clarkson provided the entertainment as she took the stage in her fab juicy dress and Brittany Murphy squeezed into some serious leather boots. Scott Speedman looked scruffy cute next to clean-cut Justin Long while Audrina Patridge showed off her glowing tan in her LWD.
