Smartwater Bottle Inspired by Healthy Kids and Jennifer Aniston

If you're a fan of Smartwater because it offers your body the lost electrolytes it needs after a long workout, the next time you pick up a bottle, you may notice something different.

The company has unveiled a colorful, limited-edition bottle. The design was inspired by a mural completed by Jennifer Aniston and a group of 20 kids from the Action For Healthy Kids program in LA this Fall. Every time you purchase one of these bottles, five cents goes directly to this nonprofit organization, with a goal of raising one million dollars. The money will help kids stay healthy by offering funding for after school programs across the country that get kids moving, eating well, staying hydrated, and educated on what it takes to live healthy lives. Well, that's certainly a worthy cause to drink to!

Jennifer Aniston turns 40 on Feb. 11, and she's looking better than ever. Recently Us Weekly deemed hers "maybe the most envied body in Hollywood." Indeed, Jennifer is lean, muscular, and does it all by taking care of herself.

According to the story in the magazine's Jan. 19 issue, Jen owes her sexy and sculpted body to "running and yoga and eating well." While filming Marley & Me, she had constant discipline, running every morning at 6 a.m. and following a regimented meal plan so she never overate.

Aniston used to be a total cardio junkie, but when she tried yoga, she was a quick convert. To find out why she loves it so much read more.

When at home, Jennifer loves working with yoga instructor and friend Mandy Ingber in her home gym. They do a two-hour session every other day, moving through basic poses like Tree and Down Dog. Having a consistent yoga practice has really changed her body, lengthening her limbs, toning her muscles, and improving her posture. She says, "I've maybe grown half an inch from aligning my spine."

It isn't just the physical benefits that keep calling her back to the mat. Jennifer is all about the spiritual side of yoga too, saying, "You feel like you're having a therapy session." After her sweaty yoga workout, Us Weekly says, she finishes with 20 minutes of cardio on the elliptical or treadmill (she runs 5.7 mph at 1.5 incline).

Jennifer Aniston's Favorite Yoga Poses Are . . .

I'm really happy that yoga is gaining in popularity these days, because it's so good for everybody. Whether you're training for a marathon, recovering from an injury, dealing with chronic back pain, are pregnant, or just need to de-stress, the ancient practice of yoga can help. Apparently it's also good for celebs too. Madonna, Brooke Shields, Adam Levine, Drew Barrymore, and Naomi Watts are all into practicing yoga.

So is Jennifer Aniston. When asked about her favorite yoga poses, Jennifer said in a recent interview with People, "I'm so terrible with names . . . Child pose. And it's a mix between that and Tree pose. [Tree] has good balance and I like how it feels."

These two poses are basic poses you'd learn in a beginner yoga class, but they're poses that you'll continue to do until you're an experienced yogi. To find out the benefits of these tranquil poses read more.

Child's Pose is one of my favorites too because it's so relaxing. Lowering your head below your heart has this calming effect on your mind, and it's a great pose to do if you're feeling stressed or tired. Child's Pose is recommended for people with lower back pain. It's also the perfect pose to do in a yoga class if your arms need a break, or if you feel your breathing becoming too erratic.
Tree is a wonderful balancing pose because it doesn't require a ton of muscular strength. When your bent leg is resting on the inner thigh of your straight leg, it's actually quite stable. So you can stay in this position for a while, just breathing and feeling your connection with the ground.

Reality Check: Jennifer Aniston's Expensive Anti-cellulite Treatment

Along with the fountain of youth, I'm sure many of us are looking for a way to erase cellulite from our bodies. Realistically speaking though, since 95 percent of women have cellulite, most of us have come to terms with those little dimples on our backsides since creams and lotions don't really work.

There are many expensive anti-cellulite treatments at spas though. According to Us Weekly, Jennifer Aniston recently headed to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Spa for a 110-minute lymphatic-draining massage and algae wrap. She paid $290 for this treatment that the spa says is designed to reduce "the dimpled, uneven appearance of cellulite." To find out if it works read more.

I wish I could break the bad news to you gently, but there's no sensitive way to tell you. Cellulite, which is just another word for fat, cannot be eliminated with expensive massages or body wraps. You can however reduce the appearance of that indented skin by decreasing your overall amount of body fat. You do this with old-fashioned cardio that burns calories and strength training to tone your muscles. You'll have to learn to love squats, lunges, and any other exercises that target your booty and thighs, where cellulite tends to show up. I guess this makes me feel better because there's no way I'd drop almost $300 for a special spa treatment.

Jennifer Aniston: What SUP?

Lately a big trend among water sports enthusiasts, and our favorite celebrities, is stand up paddle surfing (SUP). So much so that even the lovely (and smart) Jennifer Aniston has taken to the sport.

Maybe it's because it's fun, but I'm sure she also likes it because SUP is a phenomenal workout. SUP is basically where you stand on a surf board (or kayak) and paddle. If requires a good deal of balance, but it's not about catching waves. SUP can be done on totally flat water and since you are standing up, you are able to get a much better view of what is going on in and out of the water. Being that it is all about balance, SUP basically works every muscle in your body. Not only are you working your legs, but you're also working your arms and core. You'll be improving your fast-twitch muscles (crucial for balance and reaction time), which makes SUP a great cross-training workout since almost all sports/exercises rely on balance and core strength. Plus since you'll probably be falling off a bunch in the beginning, you'll be getting a good workout pulling yourself back onto the board. SUP fans regularly claim that just thirty minutes will work your body much harder than several hours of surfing.

Celebrity Endorsements: Jennifer Aniston is Not the Only One That's Smart

Celebrities are doing their part do endorse their favorite health brands and it looks like Jennifer Aniston is no exception. As I pointed out before, we have been seeing Jen walking around with smartwater a lot recently. For a while I was just thinking the girl had a serious need to be hydrated, turns out, that was just half of it...

UsMagazine is reporting that Glaceau is closing a deal with the former friend for her to be the face of its next worldwide advertising campaign. I think smartwater, water that's the envy of all water, and Jen, a woman that's the envy of all women, are a match made in heaven.

Jen tops the list of celebrity endorsements, but let's recap some other notables:

Jenny McCarthy has been signed on to Weight Watchers.
Dan Marino, former footballer extraordinare, is the face of NutriSystem for Men.

Smart to Drink smartwater?

Water to make you smarter? Could it be that Jennifer Aniston is auditioning for a new brainy role? Not quite.

Glacéau's (the folks who bring us VitaminWater and FruitWater) smartwater is vapor distilled electrolyte enhanced water or quite simply: Water with electrolytes. This means it feels like you are drinking regular bottled water but you're actually getting the added benefit of electrolytes (helps prevent dehydration), without getting the added intense flavors and calories of other sports drinks like Gatorade.

The only time I would not recommend this water is while running (unless you pour it into a different bottle) because the clean, smooth bottles are hard to get a good grip on (especially if your hands sweat excessively). However, it's great for the gym or during any other activity where you won't be clutching your water the entire time. I'd even recommend it if you had a big night out, and you're feeling a bit hung over. Buy it from Dr. Soda Company online for $1.29-$2.19 (depending on size).

Fit's Tip: Just so you know, it's really not necessary to replace lost electrolytes during normal exercise (say 30 mins of cardio) since it is unlikely that you may experience a significant depletion in those that your body normally stores, but it definitely won't hurt to ensure hydration. If you're training for a race of some sort (or just exercising a lot) then it's a great idea to consider drinks, like smartwater, with electrolytes.

Amanda Peet: So in Love

Amanda Peet is undoubtedly feeling great. She's starring in the number one film in the country, and in the December issue of Self the actress shares that nothing brings her more joy than hanging at home with her hubby and baby girl. In fact, the actress credits her husband, screenwriter David Benioff, as being her healthiest habit. Oh, true love!

The 37-year-old actress is not without her envies, though - she wants "boobs, a gentle six-pack, and a perky butt." And when it comes down to it, she secretly wishes for a bod like Gisele Bündchen's or Jennifer Aniston's. Outside of a little admiration, especially since Peet strives to live a life full of balance and a lot of laughs.

Amanda is a big fan of moderation:

"To me, staying healthy means doing everything in moderation. Eat a lot of greens, but in moderation. Exercise, but in moderation. Drink wine, but in moderation. Sleep as much as you can. And have people around you who are very funny."

At the end of the day it all comes back to love for Peet, who says that her 2-year-old daughter is the reason why she stays healthy.

"I do feel like it's important for her to have me be as healthy as I can be. So, you know, I don't want her to have horrible eating habits. I don't want her to never exercise. But obviously I'd much rather have her play a sport than have a gym membership before she's 20. I mean there are kids in LA who go to the gym and they have a trainer. I'm like, Play a sport!"
