I definitely indulged this Halloween and enjoyed a few of my faves throughout the day - a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, a packet of Raisinets, and a packet of Peanut M&M's. What about you?

Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and Snickers were my favorites when it came to Halloween as a kid. After a night of trick-or-treating, I loved to sprawl my goods on the kitchen table and count how many I got of each. Now I would never eat as much candy as I could fit in a pillowcase, since many of them are high in calories and contain trans fat, but I still like to enjoy a couple pieces this time of year. Shakira Gets Wild

Looking a little Flo-Joesque in a one-legged unitard, Shakira showed off her rockin' bod and moves in the Halloween-appropriate video for "She Wolf," her latest single.

Shakira recently told reporters that she got in shape for the video by doing lots of abdominal exercises and dancing for hours each day - the pop star is a huge fan of dance aerobics. Not without her vices, Shakira can't give up her love for chocolate and sugar.

Save the Guts: Roast Your Pumpkin Seeds

Before you throw out the guts of that jack-o'-lantern you've carved, try this basic, healthy recipe for roasted pumpkin seeds.

Pumpkin seeds are loaded with nutrients. They're high in both plant sterols, which may help lower cholesterol, and phytochemicals, which promote prostate health. Pumpkin seeds are a good source of protein, fiber, potassium, and magnesium. Try them alone, toss over a salad, or get creative.

Blood Energy Potion: Cool or Not?

I consider myself a big fan of True Blood and Twilight, but I'm beginning to think the whole vampire craze has gone too far. I recently came across a blood energy drink and I've been creeped out ever since.

Blood Energy Potion ($6) is the same color and consistency of blood and it comes packaged in an IV bag. Besides an four-hour energy complex, it contains iron, protein, and electrolytes. It's suppose to mimic blood right down to its nutritional value.

This drink lets you play blood-thirsty vampire except you don't have to go out and kill anyone, and your blood is fruit punch flavored. I can't see myself sipping on synthetic blood, but it might be kind of hilarious to see someone drinking this at the gym. What do you think of this latest gimmick in energy drinks?

Halloween is all about light-hearted spookiness, but I'll tell you, I saw something shockingly scary at the grocery store - the labels on Halloween candy. Corn syrup, food coloring, and the worst, hydrogenated oil. Companies still use this type of trans fat even though we know it's been linked to heart problems, miscarriages, obesity, and belly fat. Let's see if you know which candy to avoid this year.

We scoured the web to present you with some of the best fitness inspired costumes out there and added our own suggestions. Most of these ideas have elements to them that any fitness fanatic probably has in their dresser or closet already.

If you have vampire fever like we do, vamp up any of these looks with fangs, fake blood, and pale makeup.

Have a Healthy(ish) Halloween

I love Halloween, but it can be hard to stick to a healthy diet when there are chocolate bars, caramel apples, and candy corn everywhere. Here are a few tips I'll be following to not go overboard during the festivities.

Buy candy at the last minute. There's no temptation to dig into the candy if there isn't any in the house. Stores are open on Halloween, so buy what you need that day.
Don't buy too much. When I was little my dad bought enough candy for the kids in my neighborhood and the next county - the extra lasted for months. Try to judge how much candy you'll need for trick-or-treaters so you won't have any leftovers.
Buy candy you don't like. If you buy candy that you can't stand there won't be any temptation to eat it.
Donate the leftovers. Donate extra candy to a charity. If you have children, decide ahead of time how much of their own stash they can keep and how much they'll donate. If you can't find a charitable organization that will accept the candy, bring it into work for your co-workers.
Give out healthy treats. Skip candy altogether. Instead give out fun, healthy treats like pretzels, glow-stick bracelets, and stickers. No candy equals no temptation.
Host a party. Host your own event or organize a block party with your neighbors. That way you can be accountable for what kind of treats you'll serve. There's lots of Hallowen-themed treats you can serve that are healthy but still seem indulgent.

The morning after any food-related holiday, I find it wise to take stock of my actions from the previous day. Did I hold strong or did I overindulge? Now that we all know what candy we find most tempting, what I really want to know is . . .
