Dec 16 2008 - 2:30pm As a kid, I was such a huge fan of the show Full House. I loved the oldest daughter, D.J. Tanner, played by Candace Cameron, because of her cool clothes and awesome '80s hair.

a lot like DJ/Candace. Great know she looks beautiful and very fit!
She always looked good, i loved that show... such a positive, happy, family-oriented show.. what happened to those days? Now its all sex, drugs and murder... and no family television.
I can't get the video to work, but I do remember that episode. I didn't know that the reason they didn't pressure her to lose weight was because her brother costared with Tracey Gold. It all
makes sense to me now. But like you said, Fit, it's not like she was really "heavy"...132 lbs at 5'2" is not overweight. She looks good no matter what she weighs, IMHO.
Austerity - people used to say the same thing about me when I was younger (I had some chubby cheeks), and it drove me crazy! I used to ask my mom when they were gonna go away all the time.
So, they might be cute, but they're not always well loved by the owner.
132 is definitely not heavy! What I would do to weigh somewhere around there.. (I'm 5'2..and I weigh more than that.) She looked good in the show, and at her "heaviest" and even after she
lost all the extra weight. But, it's definitely a good thing that she's healthier now.
i think that it's great that she was able to do this on her own rather that have to have someone tell her what she needed to do. i think that sometimes it's hard when you're growing up like
she did, and to know that she accomplished a great goal of losing weight on her own, it shows that she's motivated and knows what she has to do to maintain that weight moving forward.
There's no way she is 110 pounds. I'm way smaller than her and I'm like 105 and only an inch taller. Maybe because I have a lot of muscle, I weigh more, but whatever.
I bought the mag to read this interview and it kinda pissed me off. "I run on the beach sometimes 5 days a week." 1.)Most of us vacation at the beach, but we don't live at the beach. AND
2.)Does she not have a job? Doesn't sound like it. All she does it exercise and play with her kids. Most of us would lose weight doing that, but don't have the luxury too. This issue was a
Waste of money!! (not that most of them aren't...)
I just bought the magazine too! I think she looks just beautiful and I personally find it to be inspiring. She may have a job, but not having a job and watching kids isn't exactly easy,
especially when the kids have snacks and things like that.
Plus, most of us do have the time to exercise, even though we work full-time. I think it is just a matter of implementing it into our lives and daily routine.
Emmygirl you don't have to have a beach to get in a run or a walk I agree urban
chic. I have a full time job too but in the last year I've made some changes to how I live. It's all about working it into your daily life. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices. I've been
really focused on losing weight this past year and I've been able to lose 23 lbs by doing what they say Candace Cameron did: watch how much I eat by counting calories, eat fruits and veggies
every day, and getting in more exercise. I started out just getting a lot of walking, sometimes 4 miles a day, and gradually trying to increase my speed as I walk, then into light jogging. I
also walk whenever I can - taking the bus, post office, grocery store for small items, the bank. It certainly helps to live in an area where things are within walking distance. I eat fruits,
veggies, lean meats, and try to eat less of the "processed foods." I also cut out soda (I'll have a diet soda every so often, but 90% of my daily liquid is water). I eat chocolate all the
time and some other things that I probably shouldn't eat as much of, but I try to do it in moderation. It's been a "slowly but surely" process for me, which I think is the best way because
the goal is not just to lose the weight, but to lose it and KEEP IT OFF, which you can only do by changing your lifestyle and figuring out what is important to you. The point is, it can be
done and the formula is simple - calories in and calories out.

was that people felt the need to squeeze or pinch them saying your cheeks are just so cuuuute and chubby

As an anorexia-recoverer, this makes me happy, that she is thin-not-too-thin, but just because she embraced a HEALTHY lifestyle. Yay Candace.

13She was in my pilates reformer classes this summer, and she is tiny, sweet and so cute!
