Penelope and Bono Come in Peace to Paris Golden Globe nominee Penelope Cruz joined Bono in Paris on Friday for the Nobel Peace Prize World Summit, a day after Scarlett Johansson hosted the organization's annual concert in Norway. Bono brought his wife Ali, who chatted with Penelope as he mingled with the First Lady of France, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, and Ingrid Betancourt, the former Columbian hostage who also recently met with Madonna. They were gathered by past Peace Prize recipients to bestow upon Bono a "man of peace" award, adding yet another distinction to his lengthy list of humanitarian awards.

The event was a fundraiser for Darfur, a cause that both George and Matt have raised tons of money for and been openly passionate about in the past. George's buddies Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber were in attendance, as well as Luciana Damon and Claudia Schiffer.

George Helps Raise £10million For Darfur Matt Damon, Guy Ritchie, Scarlett Johansson, Bono, Eva Mendes and a whole host of other Brit and American celebs showed up to a party in London arranged by George Clooney for the purpose of raising money for Africa. Guests paid up to £10000 for a ticket to the event at which Kid Rock provided some live music, and Antony Worrell-Thompson and Ainsley Harriot presided over the menu. The event was held at the Mayfair home of a senior executive at Barclays, and the guest list also included David Walliams, Sarah Ferguson, Cindy Crawford, Trinny Woodall, Sophie Dahl, Jamie Cullum and Sir Michael Caine.

2008 MTV EMAs: The Show & Winners The big winners at last night's MTV Europe Music Awards were Britney Spears and Jared Leto's band 30 Seconds To Mars, each of them winning two awards. Hostess Katy Perry beat Duffy to take home the award for New Act, and the Brits were represented by Sir Paul McCartney and Rick Astley who each took home a gong. For the most part, the winners were American, and there was certainly a theme running through the evening as President-Elect Barack Obama's face showed up on everything from the video screens to one of Katy's twelve brightly coloured outfits!

Music industry artists and insiders including Take That, Girls Aloud, Mika, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Sugababes, Simon Cowell, The Feeling and many more honoured Lucian Grainge, a Universal Music boss, at a hotel in London last night as Lucian Grainge picked up the Music Industry Trust Award last night. It was a fab photo opportunity for the biggest boyband and girlband in the UK (minus Nadine) to get photographed together, making me imagine what an awesome supergroup they'd be!
