When I read the post on GiggleSugar about the obscure Craigslist ad requesting people to suggest flavors for their homemade breast milk ice cream, I thought it was a joke. Apparently not. PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) is also hopping on the breast milk ice cream boat and are now urging Ben & Jerry's to make the switch from cow's milk to breast milk.

OK, so if you didn't already know, my friend Yum reminded me that today is Free Cone Day at participating Ben & Jerry's ice cream shops!!!. Get there between 12 and 8pm today and get yourself a free ice cream cone.
I know it seems weird for me to be telling you this, considering Ben & Jerry's isn't exactly healthy for you, but you know how I feel about moderation -their scrumptious ice cream flavors are definitely worth experiencing.

I love ice cream just about anytime of the year, but there's nothing more satisfying than spooning down some cold ice cream on a hot summer's day.
We all know that Ben & Jerry's ice cream is totally rich and decadent, and not exactly the healthiest thing on the planet. That's why it's great to know that they make healthier alternatives like Frozen Yogurt, Lighten Up (light ice cream and frozen yogurt with less fat, sugar, and calories), and Sorbets.

What would Summer be without ice cream? I know that eating that sweet creamy coldness every day wouldn't be the healthiest move, but every once in a while I've got to splurge. Ben & Jerry's is a popular brand because their ice cream is so scrumptious.

Unfortunately it has taken the accidental death of Arielle Newman, a high school track star from NYC, to open our eyes about proper muscle cream usage.
Newman died from an accidental overdose of methyl salicylate, which is the wintergreen-scented ingredient found in liniments like BenGay, Icy Hot and Tiger Balm. Reports are saying that Newman put the muscle cream on her legs between track meets and also used adhesive pads containing the anti-inflammatory, plus an unspecified third product.

It is true that I write a lot about food here on FitSugar. Things like how to snack responsibly and avoid eating mindlessly. Today however, I wanted to take a moment to focus on the other side of this issue, hunger.

I love to dance around the house - it burns some extra calories, gives me a little pick me up, and makes my girls laugh and dance too. Which makes me laugh with joy; they are so cute when they dance. Well here is another cutie dancing around, and in a gym no less.

Despite Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke's claim that the recession is over, most Americans aren't buying it. I'm not sure what you think of Bernanke's outlook, but the last two years of economic downturn have taught me a lesson in frugality I won't be forgetting anytime soon.
My husband bought a new bike recently — new to him anyway.
