According to Life and Style, Mandy Moore has joined the 5-Factor Fitness team, coached by diet and fitness guru Harley Pasternak. Her teammates include: Eva Mendes, Alicia Keyes, Halle Berry, Kanye West and Vanessa Williams. Zach Braff is on Pasternak's client list too, so it seems like something good that she kept from their relationship.

Now that "Grey's Anatomy" is on break, we're getting our fix of the doctors in other ways. Katherine Heigl (aka Izzie Stevenson) has been promoting her new flick Knocked Up and apparently a rather revealing love scene was just the motivation Heigl needed to hit the gym (not that she really needed to, aesthetically).

We've all been watching as Jessica Simpson tones up using the 5 Factor and she looks great!
We're used to Jessica saying some off the wall things (chicken of the sea anyone?), People.com got the scoop on her recent interview with Harper's Bazaar where she seems to be making perfect sense:
On her butt: One thing that has changed is her body, as she prepares to join the Marines in her upcoming movie, Major Movie Star. "I've started with a trainer, Harley Pasternak," she says.

Harley Pasternak, who is credited for getting Jessica Simpson super toned with his 5-Factor Diet, has given In Touch this yummy recipe for 5-Factor French toast that uses Ezekiel cinnamon raisin bread. While I like the taste (and the nutritional packed goodness) of Ezekiel Bread, it's often too hard for me so this is a great way to use it as it will get less hard when you soak the bread. It looks like Eva Mendes has jumped on the 5-Factor Fitness bandwagon and is looking great for it. According to Life and Style Weekly, she's dropped 10 - 15 pounds, she's toned, and she's changed her life style which really is the key to successful dieting. By successful I mean losing the weight and keeping it off.

I have to smile whenever I hear supermodels or celebrities admit they have to work insanely hard to achieve their postpregnancy bodies, and this model mom told her story about struggling to lose 70 pounds after giving birth in November 2007. She's in the business of looking amazing, so her ability to get back to work depended on shedding the dozens of pregnancy pounds.

Everything in moderation, we always say, but some people have a hard time spreading their indulgences throughout the week and choose to save their splurges for a "cheat day." Personally, I like to fit little pleasures into my daily life, whether it be a glass of wine with dinner or a piece of dark chocolate any time of day.
Allowing myself small daily treats makes me happiest, but of course we are all different.
