I am all for the rice cakes! I created a snack section in the pantry designated for my stuff, since it's loaded with other temptations that the boys in the house eat! I find the best way to eat the serving size is to pre-bag about 6 or 7 cakes into a tiny plastic bag, and then slip that inside the original bag. I know a lot of people do this, and truth be told, you feel smartly satisfied when you finish one small plastic bag rather than an entire real one!

I usually have dark chocolate as a dessert because it fills me more than sugary milk chocolate and candy bars and I don't need much of it.

Eating good (complex) carbs results in me not craving sugar or more food. It keeps me full for long! low-fat yoghurt with muesli, rye bread or sour dough bread, fruit, vegetables. Cutting out all sugar. It's only hard the first day or first two days, then you will crave sugar, but don't give in! Checking the labels because sugar is in more products than you would think... Always opt for products with the leas amount of sugar. Also a big cup of green tea in the morning keeps me from getting hungry!
And I've got a fruit smoothie recipe that substitutes a meal: 3 oranges, 1 banana (still unripe as it won't have as much sugar), maybe some strawberries (not necessary). Put them in a blender. Then put it in a cup, put it in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes. Enjoy!
