On days when I don't have time to eat a full breakfast, I try to make a gluten-free protein shake to fuel myself before heading out for the day. With endless smoothie recipe ideas, I often mix protein powder with either almond or rice milk and then get creative with the fruits and other ingredients that I decide to add in. For g-free individuals like me, finding gluten-free protein powder options isn't always the easiest task, so here I've rounded up a few you may want to include in your morning shake!
How to Get Kate Hudson's Abs
With bikini season underway, abs are a hot topic for a lot of women. Kate Hudson's trainer Ashley Conrad is here to help, and she recently shared with InTouch Weekly how she gets Kate looking so fit. The key, says Ashley, is staying hydrated. Start every morning with hot water and lemon, and then drink "three chopped-up lemons with water a day to flush out water retention." Make sure to eat five times a day, too, including lots of lean protein like chicken and fish in your diet. And just like fitness expert Jackie Warner, Ashley is a fan of the shake: "Midmorning, have a protein shake made with a third of a banana, some cinnamon and a half-cup of frozen spinach, plus a spoonful of raw almond butter."
It's not just about diet though, which Kate obviously knows since she was spotted leaving the gym this week. Ashley has Kate do lateral slides to burn calories while also toning the legs, thighs, and core. "Just like you see basketball players do in training, this move is one of my best secrets," says Ashley.
