If you're trying to lose weight, you might be exercising more than the recommended 30 to 50 minutes, five times a week. But there is such a thing as too much exercise, and here are some signs you're overdoing it.
- You're constantly suffering from sore muscles: If you exercise intensely every day and don't give your body enough time to recover, you're not incorporating enough rest days into your routine. If your muscles don't have time to repair themselves, they can't get stronger.
- You can't shake that pulled hamstring or knee pain: No pain, no gain? No way! Pains are not something you need to push through, so if you're suffering from any discomfort, get it checked out instead of hitting the gym. A physical therapist will create a workout program while you heal.
