At 64 years old, model Cheryl Tiegs is in better shape than some women a third of her age — and her common-sense approach to keeping her diet balanced makes staying in shape sound like a walk in the park.

Tiegs recently told Modelinia that her diet isn't restrictive so much as it is relative. "I'm really only strict about it for about two to 10 days each month," she said. "It's not about depriving yourself of the things you want, it's about portions and knowing what you're buying at the supermarket."

Tiegs also recommends making simple changes in order to get fit and stay that way. "Bite the bullet. Be a big girl," she says. "Avoid the sweets for ten days — your glass of wine is your dessert at dinner. And everyone should have an off day."

Still, it doesn't look like Tiegs has had an off day in the past three decades. Proof of that right here, in the slideshow.

But many models who came afterward earned legendary status. So to see what some of these famed models are up to now, just read on.

The Premier of the Reality Show "True Beauty": Yea or Nay?

"From Ashton Kutcher and Tyra Banks .

"From Ashton Kutcher and Tyra Banks . . ." Have more terrifying words ever been spoken? I watched part of the premiere of True Beauty last night, the new reality television show about a beauty contest with a twist. What the contestants don't know is that in addition to their outer beauty, they'll be judged on their "inner beauty," too. They brought in a "scientist" to measure the contestants' body parts and features to determine where in the good looks range they were. Secret etiquette and ethics challenges will determine their "inner beauty." This show is going to be a real winner . . .
