52 Weeks Without Sugar
Some people are addicted to alcohol, cigarettes, or shopping. I am a sugar addict. Number one craving? Skittles. Close second is Starburst. If there is cake, I'm eating it. I don't turn down ice cream and I love sucrose filled drinks. It's a problem and that's why I'm doing something about it. I am going to refrain from eating any desserts, candy, muffins or the like for 52 weeks. There is one caveat — I will allow myself seven days out of the year where I can splurge. Any questions? When a co-worker told me she was going 52 weeks without sugar and blogging about it I enthusiastically said "Oh, I'll totally do that with you!" After a bit more consideration, I realized I love sugar far too much and would rather work off my favorite vices. I'm launching a similar effort in commitment and aiming to exercise at least five days a week for a year. I reserve the right to be very loose on my definition of "working out" when time or energy fail me, but aim for health and endurance. Lace em up!
