Warrior 3

What it works: Back and shoulders

Stand at the front of your mat with both feet together. Shift weight into your left leg and kick your right leg behind you, balancing with your torso parallel to the floor. Extend your arms straight in front of you.
Draw your navel toward your spine and hold Warrior 3 for five breaths.

You modify the moves; twist to your comfort. I have the same deal, but it's my entire spine and I still do yoga. My biggest issue with yoga now is balancing because I've had a few corrective surgeries to fix my club foot and one of my feet wasn't able to be entirely straightened, so balancing is difficult. I hold the wall/a chair to help. Just modify, modify, modify. Also, if your surgery was less than a year ago, stick to walking. Otherwise, you're pretty safe to do most moves. Always talk to a doctor first, though.
