Work it Girl: Make the talk walk

2

Sitting around at work is just so...sedentary. You e-mail. You instant message. You talk on the phone. So why not have your next meeting face to face and on the move - and make that talk have legs, so to speak.

Walking is really great for brain function. It is active enough to get your blood flowing and effectively oxygenate your brain. But simple enough that you don't have to concentrate on the repetitive action of putting one foot in front of the other, leaving your brain to focus on other things. Maybe this is why walking can "clear your head" and help you to think better. Plus if you're walking while meeting you are not sitting down. Every bit of activity counts.

So take your next brainstorming session out of the office and make your talk walk the walk.
