Which Type of Fit Man Attracts You?

A new study has found that women are more physically attracted to brawny men, especially for a fling. But when it comes to finding a long-term partner, they tend to pick a regular man over a mate with huge biceps.

So I am curious: In general are you more attracted to a man with a chiseled bod (Matthew McConaughey), or one who is more average (Matthew Perry)?

My favorite type is actually between these two ... gimme Paul Rudd on a cracker. Neither one of these Matthews is very appealing to me.

Just because a man is chiseled doesn't necessarily mean he's not an intelligent/fun/caring etc. good catch, and just because a man is average doesn't mean his personality is better. It all depends on who works with your personality best regardless of body type. *from experience* :]

I picked muscle, but I don't like body builder types I like athletic types. My husband was on the crew team and has really broad shoulder and a narrow waist. He plays tennis alot and runs as well and has really nice thighs. I like tall, slim, toned men.

Hey not sure if this is a forbidden zone for males but curiosity got the better of me after reading posts re the topic of 'fit man' Seems to me by the responses the exterior plays a huge role in determining a male’s capability. Chiselled bod = intellectually challenged, high maintenance but maybe fun to look at. Regular bod = marriage material, good conversation, stable. Isn’t a bit like a blonde Joke. Sterotyping. Most guys I know work out to look good for their lady, ya got to explain it to us mere males.

I have a thing for washboard abs. I don't feel intimidated by guys with muscles, as long as they don't look like they are pumped full of steroids. Matthew's size is fine, but I'd be happy with a little less definition too.

I prefer healthy over anything. I have dated the athlete, the skin and bones, and the slightly pudgey. Right now, I love my boyfriend's body. He's healthy and not vain. He loves life and doesn't obsess over his ab definition. That's what I like.

Of those two options, something in between. My husband's very fit and has nice muscle definition, but not so much that it looks like he spends all his time at the gym. I'm not attracted to guys who overdo it in either direction.

I don't care for MM anyway, but knowing the guy is more fit than me can be intimidating and I personally don't feel the need to go all fitness crazy with him. The average guy is more my type. And big muscles scare me.

I do not feel this is a fair choice. The average guy should of been someone different. It doesn't matter to me I am attracted to different kinds of men. Some may be average or muscled that is not what I look at. That is just a lagniappe of the package.

i like the average but who takes care of himself. i don't want to feel intimidated that i don't go to the gym everyday and have this chisled guy next to me

Ewww, the guy on the right isn't attractive, he looks fat and ugly in that picture. Maybe in a different pic, he would look better. I hate the bodies of people who aspire to be bodybuilders, the ones with way too much muscle. Bodybuilders aren't attractive, only the women can look half good. The average man is fine for me, just not the one in the pic.
