A recent article from Reuters has found that when given a quiz on the healthiest menu options at popular restaurants, without having the nutritional information visible, we aren't able to make the healthiest choice. There were only four questions and none of the respondents answered all four questions correctly, 68 percent failed all of them and less than 1 percent answered three of four questions correctly. Curious if you could get the first question right? Then take the quiz.

House of Fraser
Ugh - wrong!
Can't believe I guessed incorrectly
1If the country fried steak and eggs have that many calories, how do the other breakfast menu items rank?
2I can't believe that only has 464 calories. I'm guessing the portion size is pretty small.
3Wow, the answer surprised me.
4That TOTALLY surprised me!!! I just picked what looked like the healthiest...Ham and cheddar omelette!
5me too. i choose based on healthist option..guess i was wrong!
6From the Denny's Nutritional Menu online:
Ham and Cheddar Omelet = 595 calories
73 Pancakes with syrup (3 tbsp) and margarine = 650 calories
3 French Toasts with syrup (3 tbsp) and margarine = 1233 calories
There are 1233 calories in the french toast? That is 75% of my intake for the day! Ack!
8That was very surprising!
9Wow.. I wouldn't have guessed that! How could the eggs have more! Is it the cheese? Hmm
10I got it right, I know anything with syrup and butter pancakes, french toast is all fattening. There is nothing wrong with eggs n steak, but fried..that is where the extra calories come in and makes it go up. I have to give credit to this site, with all the information I have been reading and explanation..it justifies..why something has that amount of calories etc.....
11OMG that is scaryyy. One of my favourite sinful things to eat is Hong Kong-style French toast with butter and syrup and sometimes peanut butter- eek!
I picked Ham and Cheddar Omelet - that's the second one with least calories, not too bad. But this seems healthier than the country fried though.
12i never would have guessed that....i thought country fried steak was the same as chicken fried steak, meaning battered, deep-fried, and covered in gravy. i seriously doubt the people making your food are worried about portion control when they're covering your steak in gravy, though...
13I guessed the omelet. I'm shocked! I have heard that IHOP adds pancake batter to their omelets to make them fluffier, which adds calories. Maybe Denny's does the same?
14I thought the same thing magita - when I read country fried steak, I immediately thought battered, deep fried, & then covered in gravy. Definitely suprised!
15no way, i dont believe it!
16woot woot got it right!!
im thinking its cos ham is fatty and cheese has alot of calories as well.
17Wow I'm really surprised too!
