I don't know about you, but when the warm weather sinks in, I'm suddenly in the mood for margaritas! There's an amazing Mexican restaurant near me that has the highest quality frozen margaritas and margaritas on the rocks. So I want to know...
Danni99, I looked up fog cutters and they sound delicious! Not necessarily a summertime drink, but one that I've recently become acquainted with, are sidecars. Check 'em out!
I've always preferred my Margaritas on the rocks, but thought that the frozen would have more calories. Still, on the rocks is no caloric bargain - that's why I'm sticking to a single vodka with a squeeze of lime juice.
I agree with the first comment about mojitos. So refreshing! I'm not really a fan of tequila, regardless of how many or how few calories are in the drink.
I disagree--I've worked in restaurants and bars, and I've never seen a frozen margarita include MORE ingredients. In fact, I learned that frozen margaritas often include a LOT more water (from the ice) and less substance. That's why tequila snobs refuse to drink them--it's like drinking watered-down tequila with a little bit of triple sec. So, if you're going to choose between 5 oz of frozen margarita and 5 oz of margarita on the rocks, chances are the frozen one is less alcoholic--and probably fewer calories.
