Usually have grains plus fruit or yogurt/milk - I am all about having a hearty, healthy breakfast and then decreasing the size of my meals as the day goes by.
Lately, its been half a whole grain bagel with a tbsp peanut butter - because its quick and easy.
My "work" breakfast (because I keep it all on hand here) is instant plain oatmeal with natural applesauce (instead of milk - bad experience at the vending machine - don't knock it till you've
tried it!) and sometimes crushed apple chips - and with a lot of cinnamon and a little sugar. It's filling and its got fruit and whole grains!
Coffee, juice, and a sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. (a cafe in my building makes them fresh, you can actually watch the chef crack the eggs, i haven't been back to Dunkin Donuts
since)
It's the same almost every day (except for weekends when my Sweet Babboo makes a very healthy breakfast for us both )
The minute I get downstairs I pour myself a glass of milk to get in calcium #1, while I down that I'm preparing spiced-up scrambled eggs and either a bowl of regular oatmeal with blueberries,
dried cranberries and sliced almonds or a scoop of yogurt trifle. (I eat it while I check emails at the kitchen counter.)
I take a double cappucino back upstairs with me to have while I get myself all gussied up.
Ha, then stand aside world - I'm ready to rule the day!
If I eat breakfast, it's usually a whole grain english muffin with eggbeaters and sometimes turkey bacon if I have time to cook it.
I went through a really unfortunate craving for mcdonalds breakfast sandwiches about a month ago and gained six pounds Since then I've been trying harder to eat bfast at home because I have to drive by the McDs to get to work and if I've already eaten I'm less tempted.
See, I don't eat the same thing every morning. Sometimes I have an egg (or egg whites) with turkey bacon and toast. Sometimes I have a Nutri-Grain waffle with peanut butter. Sometimes it's
Kashi Go-lean and soy milk, others it's oatmeal and fruit.
And then there are mornings like today when I run out of the house late, forget everything, and swing through the Chick-Fil-A drive through for a biscuit and large Diet Dr. Pepper.
It really all depends on the time I have, and what I'm in the mood for that day.
My problem is that I have to wait a whole hour after taking my medication to eat. So - I usually don't get to grab breakfast. I'm a low maintenance girl, so it only takes me about 5 minutes
to get ready and leave the house, and I usually forget to grab some eats.
It depends on how much time I have, which can really vary from day to day. Most days, I have a bowl of Kashi cereal or some Cream of Wheat with some brown sugar on it. If I'm really short on
time, I just grab a Luna Sunrise bar and go. And if I have the time, I'll make up some eggs and a whole grain bagel.
I usually have toast with peanut butter and a small serving of protein (low fat sausage, veggie sausage or cottage cheese). It's easy and keeps me filled up until lunch.
I eat Luna bars for breakfast a lot cause i can just grab it and eat it during class. If i have more time i'll add some bear naked granola to a dannon light and fit yogurt or microwave a
chocolate vitamuffin. mmmmmmmm
Oatmeal with brown sugar splenda, fat free milk and then a sprinkling of walnuts after it comes out of the microwave. Oh, and that old standby--2 cups of black coffee from freshly ground
beans.
A grain, a protein and a fruit. For example today I had a vitamuffin, some boca vegan sausage and raspberries. Yesturday it was a whole wheat tortilla with peanut butter and a clementine, and
the day before it was 1 packet instant oatmeal, yogurt and an apple. Yum!
Half the time, DH makes me breakfast: egg beaters and toast, usually with a side of milk and fruit. If I make it for myself: cereal or instant oatmeal.
I actually make breakfast my biggest meal of my day. I eat baked fish like Mahi Mahi or Salmon, a type of grain (Quinoa or wild rice), and a salad. I end up very full and I don't end up
hungry for garbage.
During the week for me it is either cereal with skim or grits with 2 slices of turkey bacon.
On the weekend i normally do it style and have 2 eggs, turkey bacon and wither wheat toast or has browns..mmmmmm

Oatmeal with an apple, handful of walnut halves, cinnamon, honey, flaxseed, and flaxmeal (great post-workout meal). Sometimes I change it up a bit, making it with soymilk, peanut butter, or
pumpkin puree.
On other days, probably a bowl of Kashi cereal or muesli, or whole-grain waffles with peanut butter and some fruit.
Without my breakfast I have hunger rage the rest of the day. On cold mornings I make oatmeal (and I add oat bran and flax) then add one egg white and mix it until it cooks, then add a bit of
vanilla and splenda. I top my yummy stove "oat pudding" with a bit of soy milk, berries, and toasted nuts. How complete is that? It tastes like rice pudding but with more textures. To drink I
have a bit of tangerine juice and triple berry juice with ener-c added. Always worth the extra time because I avoid the rage all day!
I like to make sure I eat a good combination of carbs, protein, healthy fat and low glycemix sugars.
A typical breakfast might be a serving of oatmeal with soya milk and berries ontop with a coffee.
Or whole wheat toast with egg white omlette full of veggies (onions, mushrooms & spinach)
Depends on how much time I have. Sometimes I'll make an egg white omelet with cheese, or a breakfast burrito (eggs, cheese, salsa) but usually I just have a whole wheat english muffin w.
peanut butter or a yogurt.
