What Do You Snack On When You Go to the Movies?

It is high movie season. All the Christmas movies are out. All the Oscar hopefuls. So many movies, so little time. More than what you are going to see, I am curious about what you eat when you watch whatever it is that you watch.

So tell me . . .

I bring my own drink (bubbly water) and get popcorn (no butter) at the theater. Man, I just realised I haven't been to the movies in ages!!! Now I really wanna goooo!!!

When I was in college, we had a theater on campus that served beer. That was kind of a fun time :) Usually, my husband and I stick cans of soda in our pockets (Diet Coke for me, Fresca for him) and drink those. We just can't justify paying $4 for a soda. And neither of us really likes to eat popcorn or candy during movies (we're kind of bad...we whisper to each other about what's going on in the movie and we ALWAYS sit on the "cuddle seat" and snuggle while we're watching). I think if we had pickles at the theaters here, I'd eat one of those. It sounds kind of good.

I usually bring some water from home, and maybe get some Sno Caps. They're my weakness. :)

My husband gets the popcorn & soda, and I bring in a few atomic fire balls to keep my mouth busy.

I usually have to eat something during a movie, I don't know why. But I'm not doing candy anymore because if I do, I end up eating the whole thing, not even realizing how much I've eaten (especially if it's a good movie!) I try to be careful with not making too much noise though because to me, it is just as annoying as someone talking or opening up their cell phone to check the time. I get popcorn, but no butter. Butter at movie theaters is so ICK. And it stains your clothes because it seeps down into the bottom of the bag. I used to work at a movie theater and we would have customers demanding that we pay for their dry cleaning bill or what have you because of the butter stain on their pants. And why did you ask for extra layered butter then?

I usually bring a bag of 100-cal popcorn from home, sometimes candy like skittles or reeses pieces, and a bottle of cream soda.

I never eat or drink anything at the movies. If I drank anything, I would have to go to the bathroom 2-3 times. Anyway, I'm too distracted by the movie to eat or drink during the movie lol.

Usually nothing but some times I bring my own popcorn no butter if made fresh a little butter if made in the microwave bag

over here the preferences are salted popcorn (the only flavour), sweets and nachos!!! oops feeling hungry now!!!

I always bring a diet pepsi and junior mints, sooo good!! But I do think a pickle sounds good, to bad this isn`t something you find at Canadian movie theatres!

Popcorn with butter! Mmmmm but that's only on the rare occasions I do go to the theatre. I usually pick up something to drink from the filling station and sneak it in.

movie theatre popcorn makes me sick...literally. I have to bring my own...and i usually sneak in a water too. ;)

I love raisenettes with popcorn. I melt the raisenettes under my tongue (3-4 pieces) and pop 4-5 pieces of pocorn in my mouth and chew it all uptogether. it is so delish. My boyf started omitting the butter, and suprisingly, it is delish and buttery without the oilly ick. (we do sometimes sprinkle the white cheddar seasoning on though.)I have stopped doing candy at the movies and get water instad of soda now, so, i think i have done good on revamping my movie snacking!

I love raisenettes with popcorn. I melt the raisenettes under my tongue (3-4 pieces) and pop 4-5 pieces of pocorn in my mouth and chew it all uptogether. it is so delish. My boyf started omitting the butter, and suprisingly, it is delish and buttery without the oilly ick. (we do sometimes sprinkle the white cheddar seasoning on though.) I'm at the movie theater about once a week and I can't walk past the concession stand without getting popcorn (no "butter"), milkduds, and soda. Mmmm.

I go to the movies about twice a year, so I allow myself some popcorn with butter even though I know how terrible it is for me.

I figured you did with the LSU in your name. Maybe the pickle licensing laws are stricter in Orleans parish.

Well I definitely live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and every movie theater here has Pickles. In Dallas, I would always get margaritas in the theater.

Pickles at the movies? I went to high school in Alabama, college in Georgia, and law school in Louisiana and I've never heard of a pickle at the movies. I don't think it's a southern thing. I rarely get anything to eat/drink-sometimes I'll sneak in a water. Although in New Orleans, you could get a frozen daiquiri at the theater & I would usually get one. Going to a stupid comedy is so much more fun with alcohol.
