Go Green With This Walnut-Basil Pesto Recipe

We all know how important it is to get vegetables and leafy greens into our diet. This basil-walnut pesto recipe is a great way to add flavor to those dishes! You can use this pesto on pasta, roasted vegetables, and even as a dip or spread.

To make it you will need the following ingredients and just five minutes of your time: 

1 cup fresh basil leaves
2 cloves garlic
2-3 tablespoons walnuts
1/3 cup graded parmesan cheese
1/3 cup olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:
1. Roast walnuts in a pan on medium heat; set aside to cool down.
2. Add basil leaves and garlic to the food processor.
3. Add parmesan, walnuts, spices, and olive oil.
4. Process to desired consistency (I like pesto a little chunky, but you can experiment with the processing time to achieve the consistency you want).
5. Enjoy!
