Starbucks Goes Low-Cal For Breakfast

Mar 11 2014 - 1:19pm

Move over, blueberry muffins and banana bread! Starbucks has more to offer to enjoy with your cup of joe. Check out these artisan-style hot breakfast sandwiches, including three new offerings [1]. Best of all for Starbucks fans is a classic sandwich that has been revamped to offer fewer calories and less fat.

If the turkey bacon, cheddar, and egg breakfast sandwich was one of your faves, you'll appreciate that it's now being served on an organic wheat english muffin and contains 260 fewer calories than the older version. Or if you're new to the Starbucks breakfast scene, you might want to give one of these new breakfast sandwiches a whirl: ham and swiss on a croissant bun, egg and cheddar on multigrain toast, and, for the vegetarians out there, vegetable, egg, and fontiago cheese on ciabatta. Tempted yet? Starbucks could be a healthy, low-cal option if you find yourself in need of a quick breakfast with your coffee — just be mindful of the sodium.
