Water to make you smarter? Could it be that Jennifer Aniston is auditioning for a new brainy role? Not quite.

Glacéau's (the folks who bring us VitaminWater and FruitWater) smartwater is vapor distilled electrolyte enhanced water or quite simply: Water with electrolytes. This means it feels like you are drinking regular bottled water but you're actually getting the added benefit of electrolytes (helps prevent dehydration), without getting the added intense flavors and calories of other sports drinks like Gatorade.
The only time I would not recommend this water is while running (unless you pour it into a different bottle) because the clean, smooth bottles are hard to get a good grip on (especially if your hands sweat excessively). However, it's great for the gym or during any other activity where you won't be clutching your water the entire time. I'd even recommend it if you had a big night out, and you're feeling a bit hung over. Buy it from Dr. Soda Company online for $1.29-$2.19 (depending on size).
Fit's Tip: Just so you know, it's really not necessary to replace lost electrolytes during normal exercise (say 30 mins of cardio) since it is unlikely that you may experience a significant depletion in those that your body normally stores, but it definitely won't hurt to ensure hydration. If you're training for a race of some sort (or just exercising a lot) then it's a great idea to consider drinks, like smartwater, with electrolytes.

I love this water! i drink a couple bottles when i have a hangover since it has electrolytes but without the calories like gatorade.
1I adore this water. I have two bottles of it on my desk right now! Aside from the electrolyte benefits, I think it just tastes better than other bottled waters.
2Does it just taste plain then? (Not to be stupid...)
3Where were these pictures taken. She is in NYC right now - are they from there?
4i live on smartwater! it's the best water on the planet.
5yeah i am addicted to this stuff. its my new bottled water! and controlledspin, it tastes like plain ol' water
6If you're going to drink water might as well have a little something extra good for you. Right now Albertsons has the 1L bottles 10 for $10.
7I love this water too...My other favorite is Voss =p
8i hate water - all water - jennifers hair looks not so great here -
9wow that first pic looks like such a nose job
10how can you hate water?!! its so refreshing and not to mention essential for living.
11and this stuff is great, you dont just have to buy it online, its pretty reasonably priced at grocery stores
12I'm addicted to SmartWater! It just tastes better and it makes me feel like I'm doing something good for my body. I think it's the best tasting water out there
Plus it used to be hard to find and only available at stores like Whole Foods, but now you
can find it at any run of the mill grocery store.
13If Jen likes it, it's worth it
14I am addicted to Smart Water!
15I thought Gatorade was only designed for professional athletes, and only to be used when a person was sweating, and working out THAT hard. Other than that, I thought it was supposed to be bad for you because it has all this sodium to help retain water or something.
Is this really ok to be drinking?
16i got hooked on this water after a week of the stomach bug... i could not drink any of that other sugar-loaded crap but was concerned about dehydration- so concerned that i even tried pedialyte, which is absolutely disgusting! bleck!
17The best water I have ever had was water by Rainsoft. It is a system put in the house and is RO (reverse osmosis) treated. I never thought water was that big of a deal until I tasted the difference of this water. Plus, I put it in a thermos and the bottles don't fill the landfills.
Water, BTW, is unregulated. You can bottle and sell any water within the state, but once it crosses state lines, it falls under federal regulations. That is why certain brands are indigenous to the state they come from.
18I usually don't drink alot of water, but I love this water. I freeze the bottles and just grab one as I am walking out the door. I can drink ice cold water most of the day. I also have two children who are 9 and 11 years old who don't like to drink water, but they will ask for the Smart Water. We love it.
19I drank this after running 3 miles and it really hurt. I don't know if it was the electrolytes or if I just drank it too fast. It felt like I had a major irritant in my stomach like when I take aspirin on an empty stomach. Ouch. I will think twice before drinking this again.
20Wow. Are you f**** kidding me?! Didn't the movie idiocracy teach you anything?! All electrolytes are, is salt! Quit wasting your money on WATER when it is provided in such tremendous quantities directly on tap into your home! Just filter it if you're so damn concerned with taste, maybe consume some salt. Jessuchristo You=characters of Idiocracy.
21Actually, as a runner, I know how important electrolytes are to your body. I love Smart Water because I hate the taste of sports drinks...and the calories/sugar/sodium. Smart Water contains a Sodium (salt) free mixture of electrolytes which is perfect! FYI: Marathoners suck on salt pellets during loooong runs to keep their electrolytes balanced.
22I love this water and because of a arm injury I had to come up with a way to not constantly drop the bottle... so I put a couple rubberbands on the bottle.
23Gee they aught to pay me for that idea.
