With a new album on the way (100 Miles From Memphis hits shelves July 20), Crow is spending the summer on the road — and the all-American pop star is bringing her fitness routine with her.

"I take workouts with me on tour: P90X, Tracy Anderson. I do them in the hotel rooms," she says. "I'm not big about going to gyms. I've been known to workout out on a treadmill or StairMaster, but my first choice is really getting outside and running. That's where I can really clear my head."

Crow completely unplugs when she's out jogging — or biking, though she often leaves her bike home while she's on tour because traveling with it is more of an ordeal. "It's a great way to get away from people, from the phone, from email, from any contact and just listen to the wind in your ears." She doesn't even listen to music while working out. "I tend to analyze and try to learn from other musicians when I listen to music, so it's good for me to get away from that," Crow explains.

And how about those arms? They can't just be from strumming her guitar. "I have to be honest with you, I come by them naturally," she admits. "I lift a 3-year-old throughout the day; I'm sure that has something to do with it!"
