Since bone broth has gone mainstream lately, we feel like we've been hearing so much about the major health benefits of the labor-intensive concoction. Shailene Woodley stopped by the Late Show With David Letterman this month, and when Letterman asked her if she had any health advice to dole out, the actress shared her current favorite: bone broth! "It's cool because now there's this whole Paleo movement, and I think it's getting a lot of attention," she said.

She noted that amid the popularity of vegan and plant-based diets — "which is wonderful," she said — the Paleo diet has come more into focus, exposed "some of the benefits of animal protein," and shown that different diets work for different bodies.

The Golden Globe-nominated actress, whose newest film, Insurgent, premieres this weekend, has been vocal about the simple, healthy lifestyle she leads. She's a conscious consumer, gathers her own spring water from mountains every month, and stays active with yoga and outdoor activities.

When Letterman discussed his own dietary needs and said he's all about looking for something both "chemically beneficial and tasty," Woodley's response was, "I find bone broth to be both of those things."
