NYC Marathon of Relief Effort

Before the cancellation was announced, a group of runners banded together under the name NYC Marathon of Relief Effort (MORE). Instead of running the marathon, they pledged to organize various relief efforts on the day of the race.

Didn't expect that to happen. The disappointment of the runners as reported here in Asia was portrayed as being really 'whiny'.
