What we liked: The Evol Bowls Teriyaki Chicken ($6) became our favorite as soon as we tasted it. It had just the right amount of teriyaki sauce, veggies that looked and smelled fresh, and free-range chicken that, as we called it, looked "chickeny." The taste was good as well — we all agreed that without the over-saucing that we experienced with some dishes, this frozen dinner actually "tasted healthy."
What we didn't like: The worst complaint we had with this entree was that the brown rice became mushy after cooking.
Nutritional highlights: Natural ingredients and a very short ingredients list, and suitable for gluten-free diets. Calories: 250, fat: 6 g, sodium: 490 mg, carbs: 34 g
Final verdict: This one was our favorite-tasting dish and had a lower calorie count than the rest, but the cost may be too high if you are trying to be economical.
