Review of Lean Cuisine, Healthy Choice, Kashi, and Other Frozen Chicken Dinners
Food Review: Healthy Asian Chicken Frozen Dinners

What we liked: The Lean Cuisine Sesame Stir Fry With Chicken meal ($3.75) seemed like it had the most veggies; straight from the package you could see the whole edamame, strips of pepper, and broccoli florets, and they didn't dry out or become overcooked when we followed the microwave directions. We also thought that it had the best flavor profile: light on the sauce, good sesame flavor.
What we didn't like: Not only did the whole wheat pasta seem out of place for an Asian-inspired dinner, but the vermicelli came out too mushy after we cooked it.
Nutritional highlights: This frozen dinner had a long list of artificial or processed ingredients. Contains soy, milk, and wheat. Calories: 300, fat: 6 g, sodium: 590 mg, carbs: 41 g
Final verdict: We loved that the veggies were plentiful and fresh-tasting in this dish. The chicken also tasted pretty good as well, making this one of our favorites. But while the price and calorie count were good, it did have a higher sodium content than the rest.
