I don't always have time to cook a healthy meal from scratch, so at least once a week, I get a little help from the freezer section. I've always been a fan of Alexia baked fries, because they're made with all natural ingredients, and no trans fat, and they taste really fresh and flavorful. So I was psyched to see this company come out with Select Sides.

I picked up a bag of Roasted Red Potatoes & Harvest Vegetables (about $4). It looks tasty, right? To see what I thought of this side dish and find out how it measures up nutritionally, read more.

This side dish was super-easy to make. You heat up the packet of herb-infused oil that's included. Then you add the frozen veggies, stir occasionally, cook for 12-ish minutes, and you're done. The flavor was subtle, but definitely tasty. It didn't need any pepper or salt, and I loved the softer consistency of the veggies, although my husband thought the veggies could be more tender. I also found the serving size on the small side; we ended up splitting this dish between the two of us. This is why I included the nutritional info for a 1/2-bag serving in the chart. I'd definitely buy this again, and am excited to try the other side dishes.
