Reduce Breast Cancer with Dusting?
If you are like me, the motivation to dust comes only with a looming parental visit. Well, motivation might just have arrived. The BBC reported recently on new findings about exercise and the prevention of breast cancer. It seems the one activity that reduced both pre- and post-menopausal women's risk for the disease was housework. It cut the risk by a significant 20 to 30 percent.

... their results suggested that moderate forms of physical activity, such as housework, may be more important than less frequent but more intense recreational physical activity in reducing breast cancer risk.
Since I believe in making all movement count, I shall dust and vacuum now with vigor.
