Apple cinnamon oatmeal made from scratch. Total time — 10 minutes!

1/3 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup soy milk (any other works — I bet almond milk would be DELISH)
1 small apple, chopped
1 teaspoon ground flax
Add water and 1/2 of the chopped apple to a small sauce pan and bring to a boil. Cook for about five minutes, then add oats, flax, and milk. Cook for another three minutes, stirring well so it doesn't stick to the saucepan (I don't have a nonstick pan). Pour into a small bowl, and top with chopped almonds and cinnamon. Stir well and top with remaining apple. Enjoy :)
Calories — 290, 12.9 g protein, 10.7 g fiber!
