Once the girls are asleep, one thing on my to-do list before going to sleep is to get ready for the next day's workout. It's such a relief to avoid the stress of running around trying to find my favorite sports bra in the morning, and once it's all planned out the night before, it's more likely to happen. Here are some things you can do the night before to get ready for your workouts.

- Do laundry to wash stinky gym clothes, towels, etc.
- Lay your exercise clothes out or pack your gym bag, complete with sneakers, sports bra, and dry outfit to change into.
- Pop a video in the DVD player, and get your mat, weights, or other equipment ready.
- Make your pre and post-workout snacks.
- Charge your iPod and other fitness gadgets.
- Fill your water bottle and stick it in the fridge.
- Iron out details with workout buddies or personal trainer, including time and place you're meeting.

so smart! I also will mark when and what type of exercise I'm doing in my planner
1I have a planner that outlines each day's workout and when I'm doing a gym class or the gym, I have it prepared the night before so I can just grab it and go! So much easier!
2So essential. I started doing this when I started working, because otherwise there was no way a workout was going to happen at 5:30 a.m.
3Totally agree that it helps prevent scrambling around when you're groggy in the a.m. I always pick my clothes out and prepare recovery drinks the night before.
4I do this just about every night. I lay out my workout clothes and my shoes in the bathroom. That way, I wake up, go to the bathroom, then change into my gear and get going and I don't really have to think much about it.
5I too, try to put my stuff in the bathroom the night before.. then I can just wander in there bleary eyed, and get ready. This is also why I wear my glasses to the gym.. no way I'm going to put in my contact that early! I should try to remember the water bottle thing though, that's a good idea. I sip half of a yourgurt smoothie on my way out the door, so no prep there! Great ideas fit.
6I've started doing this and it helps you out so much. You're much more encouraged to work out this way! I also love working out in the morning because there's no way I'll want to work out at 8:30 PM and it also sets a tone at the start of my day. Oh yes, and I'm much less tempted to splurge on my diet during the day because I keep thinking about how hard I worked out.
7I totally agree with this! It's so much better for me if I plan it the night before and set it by the door!
8Good reminders...I should start doing this, it will make my morning less hectic, lol.
9Just love the feeling of choosing what to wear for your next workout!
