Tracy Anderson is known for her Dance Cardio Workouts, but as a first-timer, it was recommended that I take a Detail Band class. In short, it was awesome. The class forgoes dumbbells or other common fitness equipment and relies on pastel resistance bands suspended from the ceiling. After I grabbed the bands of my choice (each has a different weight and resistance), I felt like a buff marionette with every rep.
Bands were snapping all over the place, but I found myself caught up in the powerful playlist my instructor had put together. Pop and hip-hop tunes were blasting, with little instruction from my teacher except for when a song had ended and the next was queued. I was glad I had chosen a spot up front in the room to see exactly what my instructor was doing, so I could follow along.
I wasn't sore right after the hour-long class, but the next evening — and even the day after that — I was feeling the workout in my abs, triceps, tush, and outer thighs.
