Celebs Seen Using Expensive Bags at the Gym — Would You?

Our very own community assistant has spotted a recent trend amongst fit celebs: instead of old-school duffel bags, celebs are toting expensive designer bags to the gym. She wants to know what you think of the trend. Have a question of your own — ask the FitSugar Community!

Recently celebs like Nicole Richie and Khloe Kardashian ditched their gym bag and opted for a Hermès Birkin instead. I couldn't imagine bringing such an elegant bag to the gym! It seems like more celebs these days are working out with their posh purses. What do you think of this trend?

Like others have said I do not think they are using their bags for dirty clothes. I did not change @ the gym, so I never had a use for a gym bag. I would just put the few things I needed in my purse and go.

These don't appear to be their "gym bags." They're not overflowing with a change of clothes or shampoo. They probably carried their purses into the gym (like most people do) and then locked them up. I also shower at home when possible.

I have to say even if I could afford something like that I wouldn't do it.

NikkiRuby, I think that's what they're doing to. They're wearing fitted capri pants and sneakers, at most, they would change their tops. They probably don't put sweaty clothes in the nice purses.

I bring my Chanel to the gym. By no means am I "flaunting my wealth" or using it as a "status symbol". It is my purse and it's in my price range. Just like others purchase purses within their price range. I go to and from the gym in my workout clothes so I have no need for a gym bag.
