Obliques
Definition: Obliques
The obliques are a pair of abdominal muscles - the internal and external obliques. IF you look at the image of the torso, you'll see that the internal obliques area deeper than the external obliques and that the fibers of the muscles run on an angle - hence the term "oblique." They generally work together so they are often referred to as the obliques. When Working together they twist the spine an also create side bending.
