Every week I tell you about new exercise DVDs I've tried and would either recommend or throw to the curb. It's nice to get other people's opinions though, so recently I asked FitSugar readers to share their favorite Fitness DVDs. Check out the list below if you're looking for something new to try at home.
- Self: Bikini Ready Fast: Ellen Barrett ($10) β If you want a "full body workout," urban chic 101 recommends this Self magazine video.
- The Firm: Hard Core Fusion ($14) β An anonymous FitSugar reader is a fan of this Hard Core Fusion DVD, made by The Firm, and Flexrx is a fan of The Wave DVDs, also made by The Firm.
- Jillian Michaels - 30 Day Shred ($9) β mng355 recommended this DVD along with many other Fitsugar readers.
To see the five other favorites, read more.
- Exhale Spa: Core Fusion ($15) β Both Body Sculpt and Pilates Plus were recommended by Fawness because the core moves are effective and if you stick with them, you'll definitely see results over time. I'm a fan of them too.
- Hemalayaa: Bollywood Booty ($15) β This upbeat video by Hemalayaa was recommended by a few FitSugar readers such as kedson and tamaradulva because it's a fun way to burn calories. I'm also a fan of Beautiful Belly and Bollywood Burn.
- The Tracy Anderson Method Presents Mat Workout ($25) β FitSugar reader TA junkie who says, " I love the little-to-no cueing and the workouts are very effective."
- Billy Blanks Cardio Bootcamp ($6) β SunnyMutt and a few other FitSugar readers are fans of Billy Blank's Tae Bo workout DVDs. He has many to choose from and they're all great because he's so energetic and encouraging. You get a great workout.
- Workout: One-On-One Training with Jackie ($9) Many FitSugar readers including nikolem2 and witchbaby love Jackie Warner. They think it a great workout and clasen5 said, "Jackie's workout gets everything in β lower body, upper body and core. It is a great, make me really sweaty, workout. Give it a try."

I can't see the rest of this post. "Denied access." ???
1wtf???
2As corny as it is, Turbojam really is amazing. I'm the antithesis of a perky person, but Chalene actually makes me want to keep working..
330 Day shred is the best... really works you out.. i do it daily..
4Hooray, I can see the rest of the post. If I could afford it, I'd get them all. Since I cannot, I'd get Jackie and Jillian. Sounds like a nursery rhyme: Jackie and Jillian climbed up a hill ... sorry, long day. These are great recs.
5I started the 30 Day Shred earlier this week, and I'm convinced Jillian Michaels personally hates me. There's no other explanation for making my body ache like this. Super efficient though!
I also tried Billy Blank's workouts - I didn't find them as efficient, but they're much more fun!
6I use 30 Day Shred here too; the only video I've used more than just a few times. Has anyone tried any of her other videos? Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism or No More Trouble Zones? I've been curious since I'd like to mix it up a bit since putting on the same video can get tiresome.
7Do you know if you need equipment for Jillian's 30 day shred?
8Jillian Michaels is a beast!!! I'm pretty in shape--weight lift and run up to 7 miles--and this video kicked my butt!!! I totally recommend this to anyone.
LaurenG22 all you need are a pair of free weights and some good shoes!
9All you need for 30 day shred is a mat and some hand weights, I definitely recommend it. Kicks my butt and I'm already in great shape, if I'm not feeling up to going to the gym or spending an hour doing Tracey Anderson Mat (which is awesome btw) then I'll do one of these 20 minute workouts.
10The DVDs would have to say I like are:
- 30 day shred - I have done it once and I will be using it more once this month of another program I am doing it done. I like it because of the intervals and it is not a long workout. The one time I did it, I did level one and I found it too easy. So it may not be challenging enough for everyone. Other than that I would recommend it, especially if you like intervals of cardio and strength and/or do not like gyms.
11- Charlean Extreme - Really like this, I have seen a lot of results from it. Some people call this a light version of P90X.
I love the Self Video. They are great.
12ooh im going to netflix all of these
13thanks for this post!
Very nice site!
14I wanted to shar with you the success of Tonique Fitness, it works miracles on your butts and gluts and Self magazine just chose it as best workout for home toning.
15I love The Firm. The Hard Core Fusion is really great. I loved
16Get Chisel'd too. Those makes you sweat like anything.
