Would You Date Your Trainer?

Former American Idol contestant Kimberley Locke recently revealed that she is dating her trainer Harvey E. Walden IV from Vh1's Celebrity Fit Club. Locke said:

"We go running and everything, but the whole working out in the gym thing didn’t go so well.”

"Two bossy people? He wants me to do things his way. I want to do it my way — I’m going to do it my way. It didn’t work out.”

So of course it all goes back to you guys. If your trainer was someone you find attractive, would you date your trainer?

While I wouldn't hypothetically date <em>my</em> trainer, I would date someone who was a personal trainer-- just to keep it professional.When my boyfriend and I were going to a trainer briefly, the guy we got was completely my type. If I were single, I probably would have made the move, but I like my boyfriend, so nope!

ive had a girl trainer before which i much more prefer but i have a guy trainer right now. i would not ever date a trainer because it would be awkward going to my gym and what if we broke up!!! that would suck. nooo thank you!!!

anned -- I ONLY train with females. I've been fortunate to find very capable trainers that have all been women. I wouldn't want to train with some juice monkey man. No thank you!

Not a professional thing for a trainer to date a client. That is a NO-NO!

Sure! It'd be cool to have a trainer in my pocket. It's like having a physician, dentist, or other specialist on call 24/7. However, I would ruin him eventually. He'd turn to mush as they all do, and then he'd just be like: Do whatever you want, Princess. And eat whatever you want while you're doing it.

I am wondering why no one trains with females? I am a trainer and would never date a client-so unprofessional. I don't know of trainers (at least at my gym) dating any clients, but there is a lot of flirting. However if I could make as much money as Harvey, I might think about dating a client!

Wow, I can't believe she's dating that psycho guy. lol. A friend and I were just observing not too long ago that it seems like a lot of trainers go out with the women they train. I don't see anything wrong with it ultimately. But I think I would personally feel weird/wrong about it.

My bf is a trainer and we work out together...it's great because he pushes me...but he isn't anything like everyone else has commented! He has just taught me to lead a balanced life with exercise and healthy food...but that there is still room for treats! And he never makes me feel guilty for not wanting to work out or if I eat bad food but just encourages me when I try to get back on track!

Kimberly and Harvey? OMG!And no, I would not. I've never met a trainer that is as well-rounded as the type of men I look for. Maybe there are some out there. My trainer is super gay, which has worked far better for me than past trainers. Maybe because criticism from a gay man is easier to take? When he comments on my body it seems less judgmental (I am the first to admit that this is all in my head and there is nothing wrong with straight, male trainers!!!!)

Hell no! Trainers can be so bossy and controlling annnnd yea I'm not into that with a man! Plus, they would see when you were bad and ate ice cream one night and stuff!

that would be such a pain in the butt. i've never met anyone so annoyingly anal, with unrealistic expectations of what i should eat, how i do the exercises, etc. I can't imagine dating him! he's a good trainer though!
