Gracing October's cover of Shape magazine, Jennifer Love Hewitt looks amazingly toned and smiley in her frilly white bikini, but she has the same insecurities all women have about their bodies. She shares:
"For the most part, yeah, I'm happy with my body, but there are days when I'm like, 'Ugh! Really? Why is it so hard to fit into my jeans?' That's when I say to myself, 'I look this way because I'm supposed to. If we all looked the same, we'd be boring.'"
I think she looks fantastic, and she's shared her tips on how she keeps her body looking healthy and fit. To hear them read more.
When it comes to her diet, Jennifer grocery shops every two days. She says, "Instead of piling up food in my fridge that says 'Come eat me!' I keep enough for only a couple of days." She rarely keeps fattening treats around to avoid temptations from her late night cravings. She says, "What am I going to do? Drive out at 11 at night just to satisfy a craving? No, that's crazy." She also eats lunch. I know that sounds pretty obvious, but in her business, many women skip out in order to stay super skinny. She opts for healthy choices like a salad with every meal, and lots of fruits and veggies.
Exercise is also top on Jennifer's list. We know she plays tennis (even in heels!), and she also enjoys running, even when she's traveling. While visiting Monaco with boyfriend Jamie Kennedy, they ran 40 minutes every morning through the streets of Monte Carlo. It's a great way to explore new places and burn calories too.
Jennifer takes care of her inner self too. At night, she says five things she finds sexy about herself, and says, "I fall asleep feeling beautiful. Then in the morning, before I leave the house, I say five things I love about myself . . . That way I can go out into the world with that little bit of extra confidence."
Tell me in the comments section below one thing that you find sexy about yourself. Go ahead and share five things if you feel it!

Laura Ashley
She has a tiny waist, huh? I do better buying groceries every few days as well because then I get better produce
Otherwise you have to buy processed crap that doesn't spoil.
1I'm not a huge fan of her's, but I kind of liked the quote you excerpted, Fit.
I know that I, too, have those days where I put on jeans or look in the mirror and I'm just like, "blah!"
2She looks amazing! I have to say, I really felt bad for her when the whole bikini photo scandal was going on. But it looks like she's turned it into a positive thing by showing people you can lose weight by exercising and eating healthy foods, rather than starving yourself.
3If it was the 50's her body would be considered pin-up perfect (think Betty Paige, Marilyn Monroe, Sofia Loren) and all the stick thin ladies w/ their veins popping out and 0% body fat would be wishing they could be curvy too. But, something crappy happened over the past couple of decades and now women are supposed to exercise or starve their femininity away to feel decent about themselves. Lame. My advice to all us girls with butts, boobs, and waists – workout and eat healthy, but change your beauty perspective and start looking up to the beauty icons of the past, the ones with bodies that actually look like yours. Your self esteem will appreciate it.
4^^^I'm sure women struggled just as much with their body image in the 50's as they did now. Marilyn Monroe reportedly had a 22-23 inch waist but a 36 inch bust and hips. Not exactly an obtainable beauty ideal. I'm a thin person, but I don't even want to think about what type of physical pain I would have to endure to cinch my waist down to 22 inches. IMO, fashion and hollywood are always going to promote an image that is unattainable for most women, you just have to accept that, move on, and be happy with yourself.
5I like the idea of finding five sexy things about your body every day and not beating yourself up all the time over things you can't control. I may have short legs and thick ankles, but I also have shapely, non-saggy boobs and fantastic arms and a great set of shoulders. I do also have "fat days" where I look in the mirror and I'm like "Really? THAT'S my body?" But then I also have days where I think I look really great. And yeah, it's good that not everyone looks the same...every body is different and every body is beautiful.
6L i k e Ms. Jennifer L o v e Hewitt [eg, with Jackie Chan, Etceterah !!!] soo stay in Shape Lady !!
7it looks like she really wants to believe all that she is saying
8Love has always had perky breasts.
9Agreed with Spectra. All womens' bodies are built differently...curvy, willowy, tall, short, athletic, pear-shaped, etc......but at the end of the day a beautiful body is a nourished and healthy one. If we take good care of our bodies, our bodies will take care of us.
10Emmanne said it all. I totally agree
11perky breasts = either fake, photoshop, or taped up
12She was beautiful before too! Not fat at all.
13I admit it- I adore Ghost Whisper!! I think that she is just beautiful (and what I wouldn't do for her wardrobe on the show).
14I think that she looks amazing - and what I wouldn't give to have my skinny days be like her fat days
she looks great in that bikini, that's all i know.
15SO getting this issue of Shape. The five things before bed is such a cool idea. Stimes I wish my ankles weren't so thick (Spectra, I feel you) but I do have shapely thighs. And I like how my bum sticks out nicely when I wear jeans. I'm very curvy, but I still wish my boobs were bigger n perkier. I have good and bad days, like all women do. The good days outnumbers the bad, all thanks to me just taking care of myself. I love Jen in Ghost Whisperer. I want her wardrobe there and her husband!!
16Her body looks great, but let's not forget there is a lot of airbrushing and "smoothing out" I saw a "real life" photo of her and it didnt look THIS great.
17We're conditioned to believe that beauty comes in one specific package. We are all so different. Why try to be some you are not? Be YOURSELF!
18I hope she didn't lose weight because of those childish tabloids
It's a win for them, gives
them power.
